Although I miss 3 onwards... I wonder how they will end this... already feels like A Nightmare on Elm Street from the first film in 1984 till the New Nightmare (total 7 films; not including the remake)... at least, did not break record of Friday the 13th (which is 11 films, not including the remake).

'Saw' franchise to keep hacking away?

user posted image

Although the cast and crew is talking about -- and treating -- "Saw 3D" as the final installment in the most successful horror franchise of all time, actress Betsy Russell reveals that much like the serial killer they've immortalized, the writers have one more trick up their sleeve.

"Before we thought it was ending [with 'Saw 7'], the writers came up with an unbelievable idea [for 'Saw 8']," Betsy revealed to PopWrap. "It's an amazing story that I would love to see."

When pressed for details Betsy (who plays Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill) remained mum since any hints could potentially ruin the "Saw 3D" twists that lie in wait -- like whether Jill picks up her husband's murderous mantle or ends up in a death trap (as the trailer implies).

But she did add that if fans turn out in droves for on October 29, "Saw 8" might not be that far off! "We want to end near the top, with our integrity in tact and not letting the characters die a slow death, so to speak. But I believe in my heart that someday, somehow, ['Saw 8'] will happen."

Saw need to end fast. The sequel has dragged the story long enough and seem like ridiculous. But no doubt the first three are genius and have good storyline.

He screams in his lyrics and he screams here too. "Nooo...! 'The Catalyst' is not that bad!"

Here's the July Comic-Con teaser trailer:

Rumor has it we could see "Saw 8". Old news, but they have a brilliant story too good to pass. I say bring it on 2011!

Full Trailer for Saw 3D Really Wants to Convince you why It’s Necessary to see it in 3D

If you actually entertained the notion that there was a reason for doing another “Saw” movie besides cashing in on the 3D craze, you should, uh, stop right now. Here’s the full trailer  for the film, which doesn’t even pretend to hide the fact that it’s nothing but an attempt to squeeze a few extra bucks out of you by begging you to see it in 3D.

Synopsis:- This October, one of the biggest, most successful horror franchises in movie history arrives in theaters in vivid, chilling 3-D with the release of Lionsgate’s SAW 3D. As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror… The first theatrical feature to be shot exclusively on the cutting-edge SI-3D digital camera system, SAW 3D brings the horrifying games of Jigsaw to life like never before.

Starring Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, Sean Patrick Flanery, Gina Holden, Chad Donella, Laurence Anthony, Dean Armstrong, Naomi Snieckus, James Van Patten, Jon Cor and directed by Kevin Greutert.

The buzzing starts October 22, 2010.

no need the 3D whatsoever. For me that thing is just marketing strategy that has been exploited by Hollywood. Instead of focusing on good storyline and acting, they focus on special effect and make-up. I mean do we really need to see human intestine being ripped apart in 3D? i can see that clearly in the DVD and now Blu Ray with Full HD should be enough. Those 3D thing is just overkill to make people spent more $$$.
