Hi, has anyone used Smith International before?
Got quoted RM5,990 for leather bedframe + Smith International mattress (king size) and wondering if it's a good deal? The quote is from Miva Creations.
Can't seem to find much info about Smith International on google.

The TempSmart II 1600 is selling for RM3100 in Miva.
*
Smith International doesn't have factory in Malaysia, not easy to claim warranty if anything happen. If you are interested I can sell you Tempsmart II 1600 for RM2880 since my new branch is just open. thumbup.gif

is it advisable to put mattress directly on the floor w/o put on bed frame... will it cause health problem?..mattress problem?
*
Is better to put mattress on bed frame because sometimes moisture will occur underneath the mattress if your floor humidity is high. And it may grow fungus in long term.

I heard horror stories about locally assembled mattresses are made by use recycled mattresses. If you cut open your mattress, it actually made of all old dirty and recycled stuffs. Even branded US brand that is assembled in Msia. I find these disgusting. Imagine you sleep on all those dirty things.
I was told that the fully imported ones are brand new inside, how true is that? And what brands?
*
not true. those horror story doesn't happen at reputable brand such as Slumberland, dunlopillo, good nite, Vono and etc. unless you are talking about some unknown/not familiar brand.

there are basically 2 type of "recycled" mattress..

1st one is they really use recycled material such as glove, balloon, straw and etc.. those normal come from unknown brand and probably import from China which is BAD.

2nd one is they call "rebond" which consist fragments of foam & synthetic rubber which recycle from wastage from the production of brand new mattress, so basically those are OK.

Just placed a deposit for a Napure full latex king-size mattress from the shop along Jln Maarof. Price after discount is RM4,200.
Service from the salesperson was really good.
Would like to check though, my husband is about 180cm and after lying flat on the mattress, his feet is just slightly out of the mattress. Is this okay?
The salesperson said we could add another 3 inches to the mattress but that would make the mattress price become RM5,100!
*
After adding the 3 inches, how are you going to fit on your current bed?? I'm around 183cm I know how that feel. smile.gif

Dear frens,

Any idea on the ikea mattresses? Especially those latex types.

They seem to have about 25 years warranty.

Maybe you can help to share your experience. TQ
*
those 25 yrs warranty subject to stock availability i guess, nothing can last that long, not even Slumberland or Dunlopillo. And don't forget Ikea doesn't MANUFACTURE, so their mattress is some OEM from others factory.

Is Duchess the 1 comes wif 2" latex top & individual pocket spring at the bottom?
total thickness is bout 11.6"?
*
From their catalog, it is just 27cm (10.5 inches) thick. The easiest way to identify the new Duchess is the quilting pattern of the pillow top and the thickness of pillow top.

The THICKER one is the new Duchess.

So like. i need a queen sized matress.

I dont mind splurging RM4k-5k as long as I can sleep as if im in heaven

Any recommendations? Hopefully for those who already owned such matress?
*
If you willing to spend that kind of money, go for something with REPUTABLE brand such as Dunlopillo, slumberland, vono, Getha and etc.. These are local brand with tons of user existing user. Sometimes i couldn't understand how ppl willing to spend huge amount of money on product with totally no customer base in Malaysia. Sometimes brand from Europe not necessary produce in Europe..

If you looking for a good mattress, you have to test it yourself. Don't feel shy to test because lying on a mattress for few second is useless, spend at least 3 to 5 minutes on them. A good place to test is places such as Homdec or Perfect living expo, but..... the price there is sweat.gif ... you can't blame the exhibitor because they spend RM30k rental for just 3 days.

does this mean i should avoid any IKEA mattress? i found one that seems very confy. But im scared to buy  cuz its only RM600 for queen, soft.

god. im scared cuz its cheap. what has capitalism done to me?!??!?!?!!!
*
Comfort is not everything you need on a mattress. Don't forget about the spring design which help to protect your spine. Buying mattress base on your instinct may get you a wrong 1. Just like buying a car, do you dare to go for something which you can't find any review or word of mouth?? I guess not.. wink.gif

How is the USJ warehouse in front of Summit, and Bahagia Furniture (70% closing sale)?
*
You have to survey a few and judge yourself. Alot of warehouse/showroom claim they are having 80% ~ 90% discount. If you comfortable with their marketing gimmick, quality and price choices are on your hand. wink.gif

I strongly advised you to test on those mattress as IMHO "THE BEST" mattress doesn't exist. You need sometimes to test it, lay on it, roll on it, test it with your partner and etc..

Our showroom at Vision Home Expo (GPS: 3.028075,101.707842) http://g.co/maps/t85gf have range for Slumberland Tempsmart 2 1600 to 5400, and is all UNWRAP and ready for customer to test.

you can check our facebook fanspage for more info about our company Victoria Gallery (http://www.facebook.com/VictoriaGallery)

Thanks.
