Yup, just got it yesterday from Avenger. thumbup.gif

Watched Fast & Furious in the cinema, then drove like Fast & Furious back home to test our WDTV. blush.gif

The jerky movie was Transporter 3. The pixelated one is IMAX Bugs!, both mkv. sweat.gif

So taikor HTkaki which media player U using now?
*
I am using Dvico 6500 now. Although expensive (have to save $$$ for moonlight years to get it sweat.gif ), it is up to my expectation. Or shall I say exceeded my expectation. Check out the Dvico thread as I did some postings abt it.

My wdtv was sold to YB.

Just got one unit at PCFair for RM360. Good price?
*
There's one booth selling wdtv and 1TB WD MyBook for RM720. IMHO, RM360 is a good price.

[QUOTE]Price is going to increase soon, get it before it;s too late. serious...[QUOTE]

At one booth, 1TB MyBook was selling at RM369. So, it is still a saving of RM9 for it.

Quite happy to use HDMI out from my WDTV to my Denon AVR-1909. It shows the big DTS Surround at its front panel.

But but later found out it cant bitstream True HD audio, so I can't get my Denon amp to light up the Blue HD Audio light and the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-Master for that matter...... cry.gif

WDTV cant play the HD audio simply because its HDMI port is 1.2 version. Only 1.3 port and couple with HDMI cable version 1.3 can stream the true HD audio...........

Seems like Tvix Dvico 6100 can bitstream HD Audio. Maybe consider it in future. However, judging from the price of this little gadget, I should not have complained more.......... brows.gif

Did anyone play the un-touched BD ripped 1080p movies? Any problem? Some reported not able to play.
*
wdtv cant do lossless audio and it cant play most of the BD ISO /BDMV files smoothly; judders, can't play at all or like slow-mo. Mikapoh, you sld check out the dvico thread as i posted some shots there.

That's the main reason i ditched my wdtv for Dvico 6500. Anyway, wdtv is a very good player at that price thumbup.gif

How much is the Maxtor vs the WD? Got any comparison/reviews between both or not since U got both together. I need to get 1 this Friday but not sure which one to go for.

Maxtor RM332 WD - RM369. Have to reformat WD to NTFS. I didn't see any significant difference apart from the design itself.

Yup, you are right. My WDTV tested and can play .M2TS files without flaw. I tested on Pionee Kuro Experience Disc 2008 with m2ts format. Only sad part is our WDTV cannot support the audio format for DTS HDMA or Dolby True HD. Only manage to play DTS sounds.
*
Yes, wdtv did a good job for this but a bit troublesome since you need to locate the biggest file size in the m2ts folder to play it from the start.

For such cheap price, IMHO, this is the best player in the market at the moment. As it couldn't support HD audio pass through, I sold it off and bought Dvico 6500 at a hefty price tag sweat.gif Then again, I am satisfied with its performance and ease of use.
