Changed default boot up menu cursor location to Video; previously the cursor defaulted to Photos

This is good, I always mistakenly go to browse photo instead of video after boot up

Have anybody try the thumbnail for folder and movie. I cannot test right now as I away from my WDTV.

after watching first 10 minutes avr lost dts signal and movie went into slow mo. i have to pause, forward n backward to get it started again. after this, the problem gets more frequent as it goes further. since the firmware is a pre-release version, suggest u guys to hold back the update. another thing i noticed is that the player becoming more and more sluggish. anyone else facing this problem?

for movie make the jpg file name same as movie, like srt file. For folder it will take the first jpg in the folder. The best thumbnail jpg size is 120 x 180

I am trying to play Madagascar 1080p MKV file but it seems pixelated during the playback. Can anybody tells me what is the problem? Do you guys encounter pixelated playing 1080p MKV about 8GB size?

I already updated to .06 firmware.

how do u guys update the firmware? via usb? can the WDTV play DTS decoded mkv passthru optical? i dun have AVR with HDMI connection... thanx in advance..

Bro, normally I set to 720p cos my tv can do up to that. This time after upgrade the firmware, resolution set to auto, but before set to unknown resolution. Other setting remain, only the resolution change everytime after upgrade.

Hi I have some movies where the WDTV is unable to FF or REV. It keeps saying that the movie does not allow seek to a position. Anyway around it?

I'm planning to get a plasma TV with WDTV. But I'm not sure if it's the best setup. I'm thinking Panasonic's 42S10K with WDTV. Just the two of them, a direct connect without a home theater system. Is that okay? Or do I really need a home theater system? What's an AVR?
