i have two complains so far with this WDTV

1. FF and FR is cacat wan. the max is 16x for FF which I find it a bit slow. How to go forward to a certain chapters like this? Takes forever!

2. My WD Passport does not turn off even after I put the WDTV on standby. Only way is to turn it off at the plug point but my plug point got no switch. Yes the HDD is still turning, can feel it. Another alternative is to Eject it, then it stops turning but the LED is still on. But the next time you On back the WDTV, it wont detect your drive unless you unplug and plug it back in. So mar farn likes this....

My connection also went back to Composite today. Ive learned that you must not plug in both composite and HDMI at the same time as its suppose to auto-detect your cable and set accordingly. I tried once more, unplug my composite, HDMI in and do a reset with the little button. Sure enough it detected it and set to HDMI accordingly. Lets see if the setting disappears again next time I turn it on.

at pcfair selling at rm399. but i guess some brothers manage to convince them to sell at rm360

no lah, i didnt get it at rm399. ok i will tell the story again. i was there first in line at the WDTV booth. ask how much, they point to the poster with the price printed RM360 BUT they asked for RM399. talk 3 talk 4, call the manager, manager call supplier. ask me to come back in 5 minutes for them to verify. i came back, they told me they sold out. Only got 2 units. Ask me to put down payment and wait till end of the year to collect. This is at RM399.

In the end I bought from APAC in Lowyat after PC Fair at rm360 (but i reserved it during PC Fair period to get this price). Actually I bought the 400gb passport combo at RM690

i recently bought one optical cable 6 meter length. Forgot exactly how much but 100 plus only. Including fedex. If buy here sure cannot afford

yalah my peasant optical cable memang cheap kind, the digital 1 becomes 0, 0 becomes 1.....

same with mine. Im using Maxtor 1T Basic. And when I eject this drive, it keeps turning the clock thingy but never ejects. I waited till it went into screen saving mode. Then I cant turn it off while its still trying to eject. I had to unplug the whole thing. I wish it has a on/off switch. Keeping it on standby, I can feel its still quite warm to the touch, meaning still makan electricity....

my firmware is latest, still not fix this

yes its 3.5in. even my 2.5in WD Passport light would stay on after off the WDTV

how are you gonna copy over? No such command exists in the menu. This is not a computer.

RCA meaning what? the red and white pair cable? how you suppose to get 5.1 channels with a 2 channel cable?
