Hi,
I am a shipper/seller.
Ships from Korea.
Here to put in some experience/tips.
Since I see a lot of dropshipper/reseller don't know these stuffs well.
Korea to Malaysia:
EMS: Price is normal, good for items that are relatively light but big in volume.
Gift or not gift, it's random check/kastam tax. Sometimes POSLAJU will charge extra fees to send to your address, as they will tell you to pick up at post office if the package is big. There's a limit on size/volume. Not recommended for 90% of cases but a lot of buyers in Malaysia are too used to EMS / only know EMS.
DHL: 100% follow rule tax, fast and cheaper than EMS at higher weight but have to consider tax rates. Volumetric weight (Volume/5000) applies
Skynet Special Line: NO CUSTOM TAX for whatever value. Extremely cheap for light weight items. Different rates for WM and EM, with EMS being cheaper for EM. DHL is still cheaper for higher weight. There's a limit on size/volume. Volumetric weight (Volume/5000) applies
In terms of transit time, DHL > EMS > Skynet.
In terms of price ( less than 10KG), Skynet < DHL ~= EMS
In terms of price ( more than 10KG), DHL < EMS < Skynet
Thanks!
