Added on February 7, 2009, 6:24 pmHaha, young GP you got there. Maybe you can suggest your GF to use wood base bedding instead of recycle paper. And beside feeding them pellet, you can also feed them timothy hay and alfalfa hay. A paper box won't last long for your GP, they will destroy it when they feel confortable with the surrounding. The cage can be decor with some simple chew toy for them, it will give them plenty of fun and di-stress. They need to chew, you can easily get lots of chew toy in any pet shop near you.

I also saw lots of ppl having their GPs staying together with rabbits, kind of weird to me even tho their not fighting. They eat in the same bowl, pee in the same area, even sleep together!

Yes, GP can grow very fast and very large sometime, that's why they are part of the main dish in some of the country. (I mean fried/BBQ gps as their food)

If for me, I won't choose to put rabbit and GP together.

Xiao mai chao I think is wheat grass is it, Wheat germ is not xiao mai chao. Wheat germ will promote good digestive, you can also give bee pollen.

Yes, wheat grass. Very easy to grow, but make sure you grow in good soil, and monitor the mold. The mold will get your GP sick. Use winter wheat grain. If you just want to make it for fun, get a tiny pot, fill with good soil, within 7 days, you can harvest your first wheat grass for you self and your pet.

Hey ya! Yes, you can grow it your self in our weather. Go to an organic shop, look for wheat GRAIN. If you can get WINTER WHEAT GRAIN even better. Wheat grass bring many many benefit due to the high chyrofileld(Wrong spelling).
BUT when you grow it your self, you need to make sure the mold does not form, this need your enviroment and some experience to achevied that. Get a 2-3 inc tray, poke hole, put in to soil, soak your grain for 4 hours, sprinkle on top of the soil, cover with newspaper, wait till sprout, take out for sun, water daily ONCE. 7-8dyas later harvest.

Added on February 10, 2009, 6:27 pmCan. Cause GPs is vegetarian. Their poo is save to use it for fertiliser, jsut like rabbit. But you need to compost it first. OR you can dig a hole, buried all your bedding and poo in pot, wait for 2-3 month, then you can use the soil to grow you vege and plant, FULL OF POWERFUL FERTILISER. But you cannot use it directly to your plant, it wont work that fast or may kill your plant.
