one day i got very bored.. i disassemble my G15 thinking of changing the LED to green so that it matches with my green CH and spraying it to black...
here's some of the pics...

Spray it to metallic black... actually i wanted to do flat black.. use silver as the undercoat but then something happen(my spraying skills sux)...
change my mind and spray it to metallic black with flat black as the undercoat... this pic is the 1st layer of the metallic black...

while waiting for the paint to dry, got my self some 3mm Green LED rated 3v and tested some on the G15 LED circuit board...


this is wat it looks like after i change all the LED... very hard to take out the old LED and solder a new one... the resistor located very near the LED...
summore, my soldering skills sux also... ehehe...

thanx guys... im a noob in modding... this one is kinda like my 1st time mod... or rather 1st time mod posted on LYN... my other mods are too crap to be posted here...
my biggest thanx to google for helping me googling on how to disassemble G15 properly without tearing the LCD ribbon.. ekekekek....

not that awesome la... got more awesome than this...

for V1, its very easy to change the LED coz onli got 11 blue LED... juz need to be careful of the LCD ribbon connector.. if u tear the ribbon while removing the cover, the keyboard still usable.. but no more LCD.... for V2 ita kinda hard since the LCD is using SME LED which is kinda hard to remove and solder a new one...... but the keyboard lower part still using the same type of LED as V1 onli orange color...

the G15 disassembly step u can get by google...

if i wanna post a guide, i have using other peoples pic la since i didn't took any pic of my modding process... dun want to be cop as a copy cat.. ehehehe

maybe i'll provide links on how to change the LEDs... shud be good enuff aight??

yup.. actually my i wanted to do flat black.. but then got problem occur... change it to metallic black... the flat black was very cun alreadi without clear coat...
thinking to do like ianho's stealth black... but have no idea how did he spray it to be like that... ehehehe

change every thing la.. ekeke.. make all white... then mod ur MX518 with LED also... ekekekeke...

adoi.. juz noticed that my LCd gone haywire... open and check again the ribbon tore a bit... tape it up now its working fine.. hope no more prob in the future...

tapi kalo ko ade G15 (V1 onli), aku leh tolong modkn LED dier... tapi bab spray menyepray aku out ler ckit... bab soldering aku leh lagik...

hahahaha.. this mod cannot be 10/10 since i didn't plan it well... the soldering sux and the color that i sprayed didn't go quite the way i want... ehehehe..
later will be looking for another G15 and modding it again and this time sure more sun than this.. eheheh...
