I also look back and  laugh.gif at this.

I mean, they report was like this and then now they report is like that. MGM sure have a funny way of doing business...

And weren't they said declare bankrupt and then now like as if its okay?  rclxub.gif
Not MGM's fault. I have other sources of Hollywood news, and I never heard anything about "officially" scrapping the next Bond movie. On the other hand, I have heard the latest news that the movie is finally on.

Conclusion? Beyondhollywood.com sucks. I dunno why people here always quote them.

Probably because they get their sources from other sources  laugh.gif

And most of the time is rather true...
A good news source will check their sources. They will make sure it's 100% true before they publish a headline that goes "It's Confirmed".

Looks like they got it from Aintitcoolnews.com. Which is known for not being very credible.

Dark Horizons is much more reliable, guys.

Frankly, who's the best Bond of them all? I have a hard time to choose either Roger Moore or Sean Connery. tongue.gif

granted sean connery was the first to popularize bond to what it is today. but the franchise longevity and ability to survive until now is because of roger moore

when he took on the role, bond franchise had lost some of its original charm and debonair. and had to compete with other action films at the time with stars like clint eastwood and steve mcqueen

moore's approach to the character may have been too light-hearted or comical compared to connery. but i say that is part of the charm and the appealing thing about moore's bond. and at that, he played it superbly and far better than connery

yes, connery did make classic flawless bond films, but then so did roger moore. the series owes him a lot and yet he is underrated by today's audience

i guess it's trendy to dismiss roger moore's bond on trivial matters. aston martins and martinis? give me a break
Have you watched a Moore Bond movie lately?

Reasons why Moore is dismissed:
1) He cannot fight. He is not badass. He is nowhere near believable as a man of action. In For Your Eyes Only, he had this big fight scene at the end and he looks scared. And in most of the car/boat/ski/whatever chase scenes, they use so much green-screen that you simply cannot believe it's him in that scene.

2) He got old. He's the same age as Connery. It's probably the same reason why he can't do action scenes. Again, in FYEO, there was one part where he's running up a flight of stairs, and he's running so slowly. And in A View to a Kill, he had a love scene with Tanya Roberts which looked like old uncle having sex with young chiku.

3) He got fed up. You can tell from his performances that he doesn't like playing Bond. There's no enjoyment in his performance, not in the action scenes or even the love scenes. Even when he's seducing some hot chick (or more likely, some hot chick saja offering to sleep with him), he can barely muster up any enthusiasm.

4) His movies suck the most. Not his fault in this case, but this was the era in which Bond became a cartoon, and the movies became really really dumb.
