Yay! "Casino Royale" was great, "Quantum of Solace" was equally fantastic... and now they're making the third. Bring it on!

Just don't hurt any stunt drivers...

So who is the bond girl?

QUOTE
MGM had stated this fall that audiences could expect the next Bond adventure in November 2012, but this is the first time the company has given a firm date for the film. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON

Productions, together with Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, the co-chairmen and chief executive officers of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, announced the film's release date, also confirming what has long been suspected: James Bond

23" film will unite Daniel Craig -- playing Bond for the third time following stints in 2006's "Casino Royale" and 2008's "Quantum of Solace" -- with director Sam Mendes ("American Beauty," "Road to Perdition").

Joseph-Gordon Levitt as Bond...James Bond Jr.

If a reboot is imminent, why not change it all up. But Craig is set for a few more Bond films after Skyfall.

Perfect choice by using Adele... definitely that 'classic' Bond feel can be felt.

As for the movie, I think it will be 'the most personal' James Bond film to date. It will not be just about fighting the baddies, but his own demons... you know the whole third-film take - pushing the main character to its limits. Javier in white/blonde hair is downright creepy.

Critics - "Skyfall" The Best Bond Film In The Franchise's 50-year history.

QUOTE
Newspaper critics rushed to print and celebrities took to Twitter after seeing "Skyfall," with many calling it the best Bond film in the franchise's 50-year history.

Reviewer Robbie Collin at British newspaper The Telegraph said director Sam Mendes' Bond was comparable to Christopher Nolan's darker, grittier "Batman" from the "Dark Knight" franchise.

"Mendes is unafraid to let the quieter dramatic moments breathe ... and ace cinematographer Roger Deakins makes the wildly ambitious action sequences the most beautiful in Bond's 50-year career," Collin said.

Baz Bamigboye at the Daily Mail gave "Skyfall" five stars on Friday, calling it "pure classic 007 fare, back on firm footing after the less than memorable 'Quantum of Solace.'"

Reviewers on Twitter praised the explosive action scenes, Mendes' directing, Dench's darker portrayal of "M" and Bardem's turn at playing a Bond villain.

British GQ magazine tweeted: "Just seen #skyfall. Daniel Craig is magnificent - you will not be disappointed." The Times film critic Kate Muir tweeted that she gave "Skyfall" five stars, calling it "a return to classic form and a great British bulldog of a movie."

...you go blonde Bond! Currently holds 100% on RT after 11 reviews.

casino royale was bad.. the skyfall is so much better.. just watched..

"Casino Royale" was bad? No way... the second one "Quantum of Solace" was quite underwhelming and was a little lost (oil? or was it water). Daniel Craig made Pierce Brosnan look like a softy. Ball scratcher torture scene, come on, what a pain that was to watch and Brosnan would probably start crying in an instant after the first 'hit'.

I am quite confident "Skyfall" will be a notch better than QoS but since I haven't seen it, it would be a mighty achievement if it was better than the "Casino Royale". Watching it tonight. Haven't read a single review entirely, all I know it is pretty good... can't wait to see Javier Bardem in a villain role again.

Watched it... loved it... biggrin.gif Saw it at MBO Kepong Village in 2D.

It is a remarkable feat - everything felt like it fell into place like a perfectly placed puzzle piece and the whole story with M and Bond is brilliant! As always Judi Dench delivered a remarkable performance.

And what about Javier Bardem's villainous role as Raoul Silva - reminiscence of The Joker in a number of ways.

Unfortunately, the whole hoo-haa with Berenice Marlohe is a bit underwhelming ; underwhelming in the sense that her presence in the movie is quite lacking, just not enough screen time. I can safely say her role was totally pinned down by Eve (Naomie Harris). I expected more from Severine's character, but seems all of a sudden she just disappears. Special mention about Ben Whishaw who played Q - great decision to cast him and love the banter between him and Bond.

The ending sequence is absolutely memorable. Not going to spoil anything but it gets quite emotional (did not expect it - I was like, no way... it won't happen).

Great job done by Sam Mendes, and here's hoping that the same film makers return for Bond 24 and Bond 25.

For me, it is Casino Royale > Skyfall > Quantum of Solace. What the first Craig Bond film did was just way too high to be superseded.

+ Brilliant plot involving M's past and Bond's 'return' to duty
+ Raoul Silva / Tiago - I absolutely loved how they introduced him... a single, continous shot of him walking towards Bond as he talks about the rat/coconut story. laugh.gif The whole intro segment with Bond tied-up was just memorable!
+ Action sequences are top notch and edge-of-your-seat experience
+ Emotional ending, overall the last act was solid!

- Severine's character lacked screen time - all of a sudden she's gone
- Hard a hard time liking the opening title sequence to the film - Casino Royale with the cards opening still the best, can't remember sh** about QoS's opening title
- The dialogues can feel at times a bit prolonged

Nothing much else to fault for "Skyfall". It was just yet another film with spot on film making decisions and a cast that really brought the characters to life. Still, "Casino Royale" is the best Craig Bond film... this one comes close but not quite to the first one.

This film deserves a solid 9/10. smile.gif Worth a second watch if you ask me...

"The Lone Ranger" and "Iron Man 3" trailers were in front of "Skyfall"! Awesome to see both on the big screen.

I think a couple years back it was said he could play Bond, and then I mentioned after watching Pacific Rim he had that bada** factor, now hacked email reveals:

Sony Pictures exec Amy Pascal says Idris Elba should be ‘next Bond’ in leaked email

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/m...ticle-1.2053386

IMO, candidates that would make a perfect Bond:

- Idris Elba
- Michael Fassbender

IMAX at TGV 1U... sweat.gif Last I saw 'Jurassic World' and it was blurry as hell. Seating wasn't even close to the front. I really can't tell what movies are 'blurry' and are not on IMAX.

...and hello Idris Elba?

I heard Tom Hardy is in the running too. He would make a great Bond too. But Idris Elba still gets my vote!
