The Expendable 2 Teaser Trailer Flexes its Short but Sweet Muscles



With Christmas and the Holidays on the way, and trailers for Warner Bros.’ “The Dark Knight Rises” and Fox’s “Prometheus” due any day now, with their releases sure to send the fanboy community all aflutterin’ for quite some time, Lionsgate and Millennium Films would like to you know that they have a pretty big 2012 title on the way, too. That would be the muscle-tastic “The Expendables 2″. Check out the first teaser trailer for the action film below. It’s a set-up trailer for the film’s roster (though I did snicker when they flashed the lesser Hemsworth’s name and then showed him like he’s one of the big boys, hee hee). By the way, everyone gets a machinegun and their second of screentime to look all badass, but Jet Li gets to sit there moping? Lame.

   

Providing the muscle this time around are Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Scott Adkins.

Simon West provides the explosions, due out in theaters August 17, 2012.

Brand New Badass Expendables 2 One-Sheet



Are you insanely excited about “The Expendables 2″? If not, then you probably should be. The recently-released teaser — which you can find embedded beyond this passage — is pretty darn awesome. In order to keep the momentum going, Lionsgate has released an official poster for the upcoming balls-out actioner. It, too, is pretty darn awesome. Why take my word for it — see for yourself by averting your attention to the giant image nestled below.

Will The Expendables 2 Be Rated R After All?



The guys at StalloneZone indicates: Yes.

The site (aka “The #1 Sylvester Stallone Fan Site in the World!”) claims to have gotten word from Stallone himself, saying this:

    So there you have it. According to a site that claims to be the #1 Stallone fan site in the world, Stallone himself told them that “The Expendables 2″ will sport an R rating and not the PG-13 rating that was previously rumored, before being confirmed by Stallone himself.

But now Stallone says all that confirmation (which he sent into AICN himself, by the way), was just “odd rumors and hearsay”. Yeah, I don’t think Stallone quite knows what “rumors” and “hearsay” means, but then again, he can beat me up, so whatever, Sly.

“The Expendables” franchise, what with their stuffing of former glory days cinematic heroes, ceased to be anything that can even remotely be taken seriously after they added Chuck Norris. As such, I didn’t really care too much if the movie was PG-13 or R, but apparently lots and lots of you out there do care. This, if true, should help you sleep better at nights.

I wonder how Chuck Norris, the instigator of the PG-13 conversation, will respond to this, since if true, it’ll mean “The Expendables 2″ will look a lot like “The Expendables”, which means, yes, exploding bodies…
