I just found out Sly did invited Kurt for a role in The Expendable
but Sly was told to send in a letter of invite to Kurt's agent
few days later the agent called back to tell Sly Kurt wasn't interested after Sly refused to send out the letter
so who got the bigger ego here?

and maybe after the success of the movie, many of the stars who rejected Sly's idea previously will be begging him for a role in the sequel (if there is)

i wonder who will be the dead operator? they are all old enuf to have an adult daughter
Arnie should get more role in this movie this time, since he's so free now

yeap, first minute the opening intro
2nd minute the background story intro
3rd minute the bad guys intro
4th minute the good guys intro
5th minute chuck norris did a roundhouse kick all bad guys into smithereens
the end.

The Expendables II doesn't need a PG-13 or R rating
it's already rated CN!

seagal is too fat to be an action star already

non-exist plot, very kayu acting from class AAA actors, bunch of invincible bullet proof uncles blasting big guns at villains, unnecessary violence, lots of one liner jokes, no twist, no shock, just tonnes of boom boom pow from the action stars of yesteryears.

and I'm lovin' it!!!
best action movie of the year/decade!
can't wait for EXP3!

Clint Eastwood would be a nice addition to the cast, he can act as Stallone's hardcore daddy armed with a magnum
I hope Jackie Chan can join as well, Jet vs Jackie! but seems unlikely la, since he usually shun from gun trotting violent movies like EXP
Mel Gibson would be a nice addition too, he's not half bad in his recent action flick Get the Gringo
Sean Connery I think it's impossible, he has retired for good
Wesley Snipes very possible, Samuel L Jackson and Danny Glover will be nice too!

How many reference to the stars you can find in EXP2?

here's some that I can recall

the typical good old action movies mah... where all the heroes are sharpshooters, every single bullets will find it's target
whereas the villains are all lousy shooters, don't know how to aim and shoot properly

Banderas, Gibson, Ford, Couture, Statham, Schwarzenegger, Crews, Li, Lundgren, Stallone, Grammer, Ortiz, Snipes, Luts, Powell, Rousey

those are the big (and small) names in the teaser trailer... Jackie's name is missing
cameo role only?

also the theme song, they are using the River Kwai's March, hinting something maybe?
or it's just a catchy tune for the teaser

finally found some time and watch it on the big screen

not gonna insult my childhood heroes by watching them on a tiny screen


Anyway... IMO E3 is the weakest among the all 3, maybe due to the PG13 rating, not much violence there, and the body counts are still impossibly high

Not as much cheesy/reference dialog compared to the previous one

Also IMO, inclusion of the younger team members kinda spoil the whole franchise, the scouting part is the most time wasting & boring part

final showdown with Stonebank is too rushed, could have be more intense

but overall, still a very enjoyable action movie
