So ive played alot of dota games with my friends. We are mix up malay and chinese player, and Im a malay myself. Whenever we are together we always use Bahasa Malaysia to chat and almost always there will be one or two player start calling names like Melayu Noob malaU babi (till now dont know why they think babi is an insulting words to us ffs its just an animal that we cant eat haha) and etc..
We usually ignore them..if we are hosting we will kick that player first (usually they start calling names after the countdown starts..heh)

The thing here, I just wondering why is this happening in a peaceful country like Malaysia. I'm not ignorant so yes I know bout all the political staffs but why must bring it ingames? I have never ever seen a malay player insult the chinese players whenever they say them using chinese words. Usually our chinese friends defended us ingame like lanC back to them lol but hey..I knot its just a game and I will never remember their nick after the game is over so me and my fren will ignore the insults but sumtimes it can be too much. Dont matter if were winning or losing..the lanC never ends lol.

So why is this happening in our gaming community (dota specifically) nowadays and how to rectify it? ignore it? scold back? leave game?

Well, I don't racist myself. But if u see carefully, most of DotA players are Chinese. As majority (in game) of course they'll think they're ruling, bla bla bla etc.

Don't worry, not all of DotA gamers or other games gamers are like that, some of us really not racist. Maybe u just met the bad 1

if you are sick and tired of the racism, stop playing then. Cuz they think they are superior than others.

2. KS-ers
3. Pwners
4. Pros
5. N00bs

They swear in a game more then an entire Eminem album...did u expect anything better from them.

Some of them also condone violence in a public area (such as CCs) so...this is considered mild case

DotA community,in general,have lots of attitude problems.

If it bother you so much,then,dont play.There are other games out there.

Simple.

kinda hate this kind of situation, just a game, why need to X here X there.

Last time , when i play at my campus, at that time mostly kaki dota were malays.
So when i joined the game, mostly chinese also will be insulted by them and say babi cina. (1 or 2 chinese)
So there is no difference whose the person is malay or chinese or indian, important is we were not racist even the people keep insult us with abusive language.

sorry to break it to ya but most dota players are frickin rude!...this b****es have no sportmanship whatsoever....thats why i stopped playing this custom map long time ago

both parties also have racist, but strangely only the chinese and malay community is the ones in dota gaming, never the indians.

hmm... when i play dota, i meet so many stupid dotard racist say melayu b**i.
i dunno why they hate malay so much. normally i hit them back... can some1 tell why some (retard) chinese hate malay?

There is another problem worse then this racism thing.

Case is like this. You lost a game. The next minute, he will be spamming me with stuffs like this; Noob clan, stop dota la, etc.
Just because u won, doesnt mean u are the pronest to all d la. And when we offered another game to them, they entered, in this time of the game, we are all pissed by this particular one. When the game start, we started the aim for him only. I will be the Stealth Assasin walking in forest hunting him down as food, note, he is a naix, he farm forest, so its easy for me to find him.
But then we were too ignorant to the Phantom Assasin, he went fat, and we lost the game
Note, the one that called us noob score was 1-12.

Added on November 8, 2008, 7:32 amim chinese myself, and I hardly scold anyone in DoTA, but then the ones that i really scold and curse him (babi) is those that, kill you once, he call himself pro and say u noob, ask u to stop playing dota. And whenever i ask"are u malay?" He sure answer yes one. That is to prove all the ones that DOTARDS-Behavioured are mostly malay!

yours is just a normal case.
you never heard people got whack up before after the DOTA games?
In ruler areas, I've heard of such cases due to irresponsible or flaming back at other people words.
They played together happily and end up got whacked up after the game ends.
Most of them are malay.

Wow.. I guess this is part of their life.. Since they take it so seriously..
