Could it be something to do with coverage? I've never experienced such issues before. I've become accustomed to the ritual of getting up in the wee hours of the morning to keep up with our European exploits. If you students think it's tough, try imagining what it's like for us working folk. It isn't a though we have the option of skipping class or falling asleep in it. No work = no job = no pay. Simple equation. Added on November 6, 2008, 11:41 amQUOTE(killingspree @ Nov 6 2008, 08:33 AM) Contrary to what many believe, the term 'soccer' was actually coined by the English themselves. QUOTE(maxizanc @ Nov 6 2008, 11:56 AM) Same for me, in my hometown, no such issue, probably because of the new decoder and satellite. Actually I've been told by ASTRO themselves that the old decoder is better than the new one Well that's what I was told anyway when I wanted to change mine.

My take is that golf is much more enjoyable when you're playing, not that I play. It may seem surprising to some but I actually know a few people my age that like to play the game. I don't think it's a spectator sport however. To me it's a little more entertaining that watching a game of chess zzzzz...
Seriously though, I never knew ASTRO had so many problems. Like verx I only ever face interruptions when it rains and even then for no more than 15 mins.

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Nov 6 2008, 02:06 PM) If it isn't too much, mind telling your location (to verx and Duke Red)? But were you guys awake watching United v West Ham/Arsenal v Tottenham or during yesterday's match day? AFAIK, it was last week and this week. Me? Cheras, signal strength 67 +/- Then perhaps it's a geographical issue. I live in PJ near Eastin Hotel. Didn't watch the games you mentioned but I was awake the night before watching the game against Atletico. Over the years of watching football I don't recall every experiencing the problems you've mentioned.

QUOTE(Apis_LuaLua @ Nov 7 2008, 02:12 AM) And maybe what Duke Red friend told him is true. my dad in law Astro decoder is the NEW one.. heh The surprising thing is that it was ASTRO themselves that told me that! My decoder's power unit was fried (that's what they told me anyway) and they asked if I wanted to repair the unit or get a new decoder. I said might as well get a new one given mine is so old. They then told me that if I had the old one, I should keep it because it's better than the new one. What's the point of having a new one then ah?

QUOTE(maxizanc @ Nov 7 2008, 11:19 AM) But for example, they said the old bulky PS2 is better than the slim one. Maybe because the slimmer device, their life span is short? I've heard that too. I have the old bulky PS2 and I must say, it does 'tahan lasak'! Still works perfectly fine with no servicing or repairs whatsoever.

QUOTE(Hevrn @ Nov 7 2008, 11:32 AM) Slimmer PS2 has heating issues. My fat one is still going strong after like what, seven years? So the old saying of "bigger is better" still holds true? Sorry to go OT but it makes you wonder why they made handphones so small these days, you need a microscope to read messaged.
