I encounter weird behaviour with rapidshare. Large file download still work but if the file is <100kB, it will say session expired.

QUOTE(eclectice @ Nov 20 2008, 10:50 AM) Another way to look into this is TM may be upgrading their infrastructure which affects some users. Therefore, to avoid disruptions, the affected users will be channeled/redirected through a transparent proxy for a temporary measure until they are reconnected the usual way again. If the proxy servers are overwhelmed with a lot of traffic, they will crawl like baby. Now that I realise that I cannot even host a FTP server from home. And if it is implemented, remote desktop is also useless. I'll give these a try and if they do not work, COMPLAIN! |

I think I found a workaround for torrent. Not perfect but at least I can download at 20kB/s and upload at full 30kB/s. The peers can correctly recognise my IP instead of the proxy IP.

I don't know whether my concept can be applied to browsers. I have to look into firefox whether we can manually specify our IP address or not.
