Will using one of those public proxy servers we can find on the net solve this problem?

My dad wouldn't purchase such things, or suscribe to vpn servers. I'm doomed.

QUOTE(leelc99 @ Nov 21 2008, 07:03 PM) Mmm, strange, my connection is still not being affected yet. When you get it, your emotions will start pouring out uncontrollably like the guy on top of this post.Just telling you guys that the best IP for me is 60.49.xx.xx. Direct downloads are around 100~115kbps. And Xunlei's downloads are around 80~115kbps. I get 115. / 118. IPs too. But I would always disconnect and reconnect to get back 60.49.xxx.xxx. RS and MU aren't affected. Still downloading at great speeds. I'm using 1mbps Streamyx package by the way. Out of curiosity, is it true that every Streamyx subscriber will be proxified? Because up till now I think I haven't been proxified yet. EDIT : I don't mind the download speeds, in fact I'm able to surf the net quite fast, like when I was not proxified, but then I can't bloody download from rapidshare, how shitty is that? Even worse if it was important. This post has been edited by goldmahkot: Nov 21 2008, 07:23 PM |

If someone manages to find an inexpensive solution, he should be worshipped.

QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Nov 21 2008, 10:26 PM) Define "inexpensive". What price range do you mean by that? Imagine you're a form 5 student who isn't earning money, has a strict and selfish father and don't have much time. There already plenty of solution which is not that expensive such as buying premium rapidshare account, VPN, custome proxy server (as suggested by HeHeHunter) or the free method which I used is reconnecting till your head explodes and you get good ip Free or paid method are discussed many many times on this forum so doing a simple search is suffice rather than making a new thread. As for services` feedback, just view the current thread and your all set As for me, i'll just keep using my free method until it can no longer allow me to use it anymore, or until my head crack from constant reconnecting and failing to get good ip Nearly all the options you stated are out. Life's hard. |

Why are some things in the first page cancelled with lines? Are they even supposed to be read?
And will someone kindly answer my first question please? |

QUOTE(eclectice @ Nov 26 2008, 06:21 PM) My connection is no longer running through any transparent proxy or proxy cache since the last time I posted the annoyance in this thread. So.. you just became unproxified all of the sudden? Did you do anything to solve the problem?FYI, I don't complain about it or having any resentment because I understand why it is like this. It is only just an annoyance because there is always a solution to it. In fact, I don't have a problem with Streamyx since my subscription date in 2004. The only email that I've sent to TM is pertaining to no dial-tone which cut me off online (either line phone or Streamyx) and it was solved within a few hours from my only call to TM 100 number. Yes, I gave TM enough details of why it happened to make it easy for them to solve my problem. I just treated TM call operator in assertive but amicable way and repeated many times so that the operator didn't make any mistake in typing the problem report. The other reason is that TM cannot treat me badly since I pay to TM on time in full every month before the dateline and never miss the dateline. The GOOD thing is that: my connection is now constantly up running on "60.53.*.*" and is performing within the acceptable 70% speed of my Streamyx package, just like always. Thank you, TM Streamyx. |

For those who are proxified and need to download from websites like rapidshare, I suggest using OpenDNS. Hehehunter suggested it, and my internet is quite fast now and I can download from Rapidshare!
