@people who want to use custom ROMs
Please do bear in mind that there is a chance of bricking (so, make sure you got everything in place before hitting the button tongue.gif)

battery finish very fast after flash to HK3... any advise?
*
I noticed that HK3 was sucking up my battery like hell. Thats why I upgraded to DXIA2. Later I might install mobileturks ROM because its 'lighter' (still waiting for tercupee for battery life review tongue.gif). So, if you're into custom ROMs... go for it... *flash at your own risk*

@tplcaik
HK3 is okay. But battery usage really sucky... now on DXIA2. Still waiting for the battery to deplete. Then I know if the battery usage is heavy or not. wink.gif

DXIA2 is a leaked ROM and you have to use Grand Prix to flash it. *flash at your own risk*

My GPS settings are:

GPS Program port: COM7
GPS Hardware port: COM9
Baud Rate: 4800
Access -> Manage GPS automatically [ticked]

While on HK3, the first time took awhile. After that, not taking much time.

hv u tried sending or receiving files via bluetooth since i read it has issues

Added on February 2, 2009, 11:22 pmBTW for those who are using Opera - what is the best setting to get a decent sized text shown on screen upon launch.
The text are like extremely puny

Receiving/Sending files via bluetooth issues? With Turk's ROM or DXIA2?
For Opera, I chose to be known as a Desktop Computer and do not warp text and uncheck Mobile View. You can zoom in by double tapping the screen (if you haven't know it yet) icon_rolleyes.gif

shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif Serious?
Anyway, I think I transferred a few files thru bluetooth, quite slow (had to change to cable). Is this a DXIA2 issue?

The problem you're facing is...? Slow? Or the phone pops out an error message?

I transferred bluetooth from my Omnia to my Windows XP. Mp3 file, no problem. Later will try to beam it to friend's phone.

25 hours since I last changed my battery. And still 50% battery life left. I must say that DXHK3 sucks battery wwaaaayyyyy too much (oh and bluetooth too). DXIA2 is the way to go for the time being. For me at least tongue.gif

Dunno bout you guys but for me, normally (everyday) I'm using the phone for...

1. 3G and HSDPA connection which has 3 email accounts (the main reason why I bought a WM phone; if not I've already bought a Sony Ericsson tongue.gif)

- Outlook Exchange - checking interval of 15 mins (8.45am to 6.15pm) and 30 mins for the rest of the day
- Gmail - checking interval of 30 mins
- Yahoo - checking interval of 30 mins

* data connection will disconnect if idle for 45 seconds

2. SMS (regular SMSing, not too much and not too low)
3. Calls (maybe accumulated average of 30 mins per day)

So, having only 24 hours of battery life seems kinda sucky (when I was on DXHK3). But now on DXIA2, I think can reach 2 days (we'll see tomorrow rolleyes.gif ). So, the improvement is almost +100% thumbup.gif

did u do a hard reset after every update?
*
Yeah. I updated twice. First I was on DXHK1 (I think) and then upgraded to DXHK3 (not sure about this one if I did a hard reset because the memory was empty). And now on DXIA2 (I did a hard reset on this one... twice sweat.gif).

*edited*
Could it be that I didn't do a hard reset after updating to DXHK3 (the battery life sucked?) hmm.gif
