if u really have tight budget, then u dun have to consider both..

if u r not overclocking, either one also is a waste of money.. Unless u really need as higher as u can for the default clockspeed.

QX9650 and QX9770 can have same oc limits with ordinary cooling (eg. air cooling, water cooling) while with extreme cooling QX9770 might* have lil advantage in final clockspeed.

for mild ocing, getting a retail Q9550 is a better choice.

but if the only option is between these 2 procs, then just go for the highest end..
