ok in my entire life, i hav never playing or watch pll playing the WoW, so u guys wanna explain wat is this games?? ...im 17 so..never too late 2 learn this.....all my frend like say "omg u so noob 4 not know "Wow"...so tell me wat the hell is this game??

Warcraft and world of warcraft is kinda different too.

(1) warcraft
when u play this, u have to build everything u need. Like barracks, the people u need for battle. I mean EVERYTHING. Like a war game but u have to build everything around u.lol almost like being a president of ur own country.haha

(2) world of warcraft
it focuses on 1 character only. YOUR character in which u can customize the look and all. You have to level up and choose jobs or whatever. Typical mmorpg.

(3) dota
i could say the easiest. It's like wow's mini-game. (lol)
u choose between preset chars only..the only thing u have to worry about is the weapons u use or whatever. It's like an enhanced war game.lol a battle between other bases.

in simple way
dota= u start fresh character, lv up by killing n pwning n farming. buy stuffs from the gold u earn, makes u more geng... after this match is over... means over. no part 2 or continue ur char in another game. go play all over again. kill.. farm... pwn... buy stuff.. over... kill... farm.. buy stuff... bla bla bla...~~

wow= u pay to buy the original wow, register up, start to play ur char.. level up by killing monsters n do quest. save up the gold u've earned for mounts (spend gold in AH b4 u hit max lv is not a smart move, no point gearing up) then when u r tired.. off the game n come back later to continue. then u explore the world of azeroth n eastern kingdoms, make ur way to outland (northend too! very soon!) after hitting max lv, u go for heroic dungeons or raids where u join a grp consist of 10-25people or even 40people for pre-bc to kill just bosses where drop epics.

pros about wow compared to dota: u get to keep what u've worked for, dota u lv up but after this round, u start lv 1 again, but u get to keep it for wow. walking around exploring the 'world', just chill n relax n chat with random guys. got more but cant think of any...

cons: u've got to pay for it. very very addictive sial but since if u addicted to dota too... then no difference la. lots of farming. materials... reputations... honor... arena... omg >.<~~ give u 48hours a day maybe not enough also.

the rest all maybe same... the game is srs business, whine n make drama n u r usually out... got noobs n pros in games... but sometimes more noobs that makes ur vein all pop out on ur head.

maybe u got confused from the characters in Dota n WoW. That is if you dont know about WoW's lore. go read about wow's story... quite nice u know... or just play warcraft.

In order to play a significant role in this World of Warcraft, you need to train from a novice level of 1 to an advanced level of 70. During this time, you will go through vigorous trainings and skirmishes. But once you attain your advanced level of level 70, you are able to contribute to the war.

You fight, slay and conquer dungeons for better gear in hopes of defeating evil. There are many regions, different goals to achieve. You can choose to join groups of 2, 3, 5, 10 or 25 in the many types of battles. You will fight till the last drop and continue playing this god damn game until you don't have the itch any more because all you do is the same old sh*t day in day out. Then you decide to quit and gues what, a new expansion comes out and you feel like you HAVE to contribute to this sh*t all over again. Oh well... Hope my description gave you a rather clear picture of what WoW is.

but everyone dota in cybercafes and im embarassed to play wow coz ppl will tease me if i do, thats why i have setup 2 coms to serve my wow purpose , 1 to tank and 1 to dps, i ownz.

WoW is a mmoRPG based on DOTA, but not as popular DOTA. But its doing quite well. Warcraft 3 is just a map mod for DOTA, nobody plays it anymore.
