Any Automotive student here?
Or anyone working in the Automotive sector?
I am a Diploma student, taking up City & Guilds Diploma in Automotive Engineering, together I already graduated with the usual MLVK Automotive course.
What I want to know what field I can take up in near future, besides just being a mechanic?
It's because I tried to find the carreer path for Automotive, but I still can't get any clear picture.
I've already posted my answers in Education Essentials and search through Jobs & Careers section, but still dont have a clear picture.

QUOTE(SaltyBean @ Nov 3 2008, 02:37 PM) i know a guy who did his degree in germany, loaded fellow! i think he was attachd 2 a famous german automaker, luki guy. i suggest u work as a mechanic; not long term, for work experience. no point of just studyx2... i think there are internship programmes from local auto companies, that is a good start 2 ur automotive career. if ya are good, they sure hire u1, from that point u can go further up till management level or any level of ur choice. my 1cent opinion Sorry for the late reply. There is Internship now at UMW TOYOTA, labelled Interip for Engineering Students

TOC is famous because of their advertising. Really.
I'm not from TOC, thats why I can't speak like a TOC student.
For the City and Guilds I am taking in my school (sorry I am not feeling comfortable disclosing the name of the school) , it's really 2x cheaper (by amounts of RM 10K differences, not just thousands) . Thats why I didn't chose TOC. Its not to say TOC is bad..just out of my budget.
But what I do aim is to grad from this City and Guilds, and serve the Automotive line in year 2009. No use looking at MLVK course, its 1/2 the value.
