Did you cleanly remove the NVIDIA drivers? hmm.gif

Might be useful if you also tell use about your memory timings. icon_rolleyes.gif

Its benchmark..Dont really make it as your 1st source. The best is test with game first.AND dont forget to do what lex said.

So many people awake! hmm.gif Cannot be insufficient power and cannot be NVIDIA chipset's problem too... Was the card's temperature monitored?

my 4870 also get lower score than it's suppose to be....

maybe it's the overall system that matters instead of relying solely on the graphics card itself?

Sounds like driver issues to me. Use DriverCleaner to wipe the Nvidia ones, or best a total format.

3dmark 06 uses dual core when processing graphic test especially sm2,when u r using better card than 3870x2 and sm2 around 8-9k/sm3 around 10k at 4ghz or below regardless dual/ quad core, the proc starting bottleneck ur vga performance

above statement is concluded when im testing ati card, not too sure for nvidia yet

sm2 and sm3 are higher in dual core setup

how much sm2/sm3 increment before and after u bump ur cpu clock?

run your 9800gtx+ @ 1280X1024.
XP and vista sure have a little different since vista use more memory.
