If you read my question carefully, did I say I couldn't find a good guy? I only said the process of finding one is hard.
It's a wonder how pre-conceived perceptions affect the way people think.
The answer to ur question boils down to proportions. In any population, there is a huge variety of guys. It takes a lot of effort to become a "GOOD" guy. That means the number of GREAT guys is rather limited, while you run-of-the-mill average joe will be the majority. The same goes for girls. It's a wonder how pre-conceived perceptions affect the way people think.
Despite what girls say they want, ultimately, what one girl finds desirable others will find desirable too. Which is why the best straight guys are usually either married or attached. You want something good, you work towards it. No point whining here in the forums. Everyone has the right to set criteria for their potential partners, but with that must come the realization that the more rigid the criteria set, the more difficult they are to achieve, just like any other goal in life.
And love is not always about 'requirements'. When it happens, it happens. The more restrictions u set upon yourself, the less likely you are to find your soulmate. He may be smart, rich, handsome and all that, but the chemistry may not be there. Think about it.
