You can search for Games in Ubuntu. Go to the Add/Remove under the Application menu. You can search for games there.
Most of the games in ubuntu kinda sucks. 
I'm using ubuntu edgy. Got the cd posted. Thought I can really replace my windows but now I configured dual boot s that I can swtich to ubuntu whenever I feel like using it. I use it mostly for programming purpose.
