basicly all is same. some distro is newbie friendly, some is not. some is 'become the leader' some just normal update.
eg in ubuntu, u just double click .deb, the installer come out, ask password, download missing dependecy automagicly. however double click deb in simplymepis will just open gedit or kedit. |

Ultimate Edition 1.6 (hardy base) is my first the best linux distro back in year 2008. At that time not so many 'yet another ubuntu remaster' like today .
Ultimate Edition suitable for 1) new linux user who dont know what is the name of linux apps and for what. 2) user without unlimited internet broadband Personally i dont like ultimate black thema. |

No KDE4, smplayer, oracle virtualbox. using synaptic, remove all ultimate edition thema, mono-runtime, social networking shit. |

"illume OS is based on the rock-solid Debian GNU/Linux distribution. It features the IceWM window manager, simple and fast desktop experience for all. Applications included are – the Iceape web browser, Exaile audio player, MPlayer media player, Xzgv image viewer, Leafpad text editor, Thunar file manager, Pinta Image Editor, and so on... Hundreds of hardware drivers were installed on illume OS to make it compatible with hundreds of computers out there. It's fantastic to run on old machines which you plan to throw out. The name “illume” means light-up.""
that why iso size is 1.4GB. i'am using / testing neptune kde 2 rc. iso size 1.4Gb. made in germany. debian testing branch + kernel 3.0.4 + kde4.7.1 + lxde and so on debian live gnome iso is 1.1Gb |
