Hi. Looking for linux distro to run on intel celeron n3060 laptop.

Currently tried Zorin OS lite, but the media playback performance and general internet browsing or anything just a tad bit demands graphic processing, the laptop struggles. It's generally better than win10, but I'm looking for the best.

You may search for lightweight and fast linux / distro for slow / old computer.

There are few available, but you may need to test which one more suitable for you.

Zorin Lite - not quite lite. Slow open youtube, interface was slow when use the start menu search.
Linux Mint XFCE - very well polished interface, much more responsive than Zorin. youtube browsing was faster with chromium but it keeps asking for keyring.
Lubuntu - interface looks very dated, doesn't even ship with good wallpaper. Use less resources compared to Mint XFCE and faster too. Chromium installation from the Discovery software manager was in snap package, didn't ask me for keyring. Stock bluetooth manager is horrible.

Next will try Peppermint OS, MX Linux and Ubuntu MATE.

You can also add Chromium OS to the list. (neverware.com)

Interesting. hmm.gif But it looks like I'm going to need to get technical with the OS - open terminal and running back and forth to forums read how to guide if I want it running with all my favorite apps.

Currently on Ubuntu MATE. Uses more resources compared to previous OSes, but web browsing on Chromium is significantly much faster than other. Plus the software center looks better than others.

Edit: tried the cloudready OS. not edge scrolling option... i just can't. guess i am not ready. also, the video playback is not as good as Ubuntu MATE.
