QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Feb 3 2009, 08:02 PM) Yes, gloss screen tend to have a more vibrant color. But I don't quite like it due to the glare from it though. Especially in my room my lights are directly behind me. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Feb 3 2009, 09:33 PM) But i seen too many feedback that is too glossy causing reflective being annoying to be enjoyed Self preference, let's just put it this way. There are 16:9 movies format out there (TV series especially are all 16:9), but there isn't any 16:10.Is it really that annoying having a gloss screen than matte? Because i can save rm 199 and opt for Dell S2409W but is matte Added on February 3, 2009, 9:33 pmbtw to enhoy movies, is 16:9 or 16:10 better? But if you're gonna watch something like those cinema movies..with very very wide ratio, there will still be black bars on the 16:9. Just thinner compared to the one on 16:10. Though some might say that you could actually scale a 16:9 movie to fill completely on a 16:10 monitor without distorting it. But by doing do you will lose a little bit on the left and right hand sides of the picture. |

Not sure about LCD monitors, but I've seen the difference for LCD TVs.
Black in the LED TVs are pitch black man, and color looks more vibrant as well. Not to mention no backlight bleeding problem. |

I own a 2233SW and a friend of mine bought a S2409W recently (RM700). Well, I'm not of a graphic designer or something so my eyes isn't really sensitive to minimal changes, but for me the S2409W picture looks great as well relative to my 2233SW.

Smooth? I don't get quite you mean. But one thing is, the images on my 2233SW is seems sharper. Well, cause you're actually comparing 1920x1080 on a 21.5" versus 1920x1080 24", so probably because the images appears smaller in the 2233SW?

2333SW is a TN panel. VA/IPS would definitely cost more. Well depending on people one la, I'm kinda satisfied with the color production of my 2233SW. Seen the 24" VA from Dell, I don't really notice the differences anyways.

Wah that picture I think if you really push that way.. You might risk breaking the LCD man lol. Just need to make sure the 2 edges are aligned with the holes then push it in.

Most of the softwares to play HD formats uses software instead of hardware.. So it doesn't really matter with the graphics card. I use a 4850 and I'm still using coreavc as my decoder.

QUOTE(xcen @ Feb 16 2009, 11:54 PM) Which brings to the conclusion that many companies are trying to trick people by only advertising their DC ratio, not the typical ones! Yes correct, that's why I trust my eyes for the contrast thingy. Btw, the typical ratio is also called the static contrast ratio, am I right? |
