if your talking bout streaming .avi/divx from your pc to 360, then yes, it is possible. just download TVersity, and you'll be able to play any media format.

yes it is... just connect ur xb360 to the net .. pop in the usb or dvd that contain avi file... it will update ur console then u can watch it..

if u have latest dashboard (last year update). of course u can.
put in a disc or usb stick or ext hdd. select video, change video source to ur usb or cd, then select ur movie.

I just stream my videos via Media Player. Avi/Divx works with just a simple download/update.

dashboard update is separate from media playback update. you have to try play xvid or divx then only the 360 will try to download the media playback update.

Just update your dashboard thru the net, it has native support for divx/xvid avis.

my xbox keeps on requiring me to download the media update each time i try to play avi files. i already have it. i can only play the file when i connect it to the internet. problem is xbox doesn't have built in wifi. and my wifi router is located downstairs.

easy.just buy a 20 metre internet cable.it cost only rm34.

hurm,u can buy 50 metre too if not long enough.

about the ixtreme-i thought that is the updated firmware

cre8 a new profile, silver member and play the video file again. It will prompt to download the codec, do it. Once downloaded you can delete the profile.

You have to login live which is be online in Xbox live for you to watch divx or xvid

1) buy xb360 wifi adapter
or
2) but 15 to 20 mtr long internet cable...
or
3) buy dvd player...
or
4) use ur pc or laptop...

as for me i have been on option 2 ... buy cable and connect it... cheap but sometime i feel its a bit messy.. lol..

As long as ur Pc/laptop/ whatever are within one router
(and 360) it'll work fine lol

My 360 is the only thing attached to a wire ont he router..

why oh why didnt they build wifi in it.
