Watching *.avi/divx files through XBOX360, possible ?

thats weird....need to be online to be able to play divx/xvid? i updated dashboard once and i can play dvix/xvid offline...the only problem is xbox doesn't support subtitle.
normal dvd player can only play max 720x480 resolution divx file...but xbox can play as far as i tested 1280 x 720 resolution divx/xvid. |
