If I'm not mistaken, the Asus Royal Club only opens at office hours. So they are closed on Saturday or Sunday.

Hi, my Asus EeePC needs service. Can anyone tell me where the service centre is in KL and PJ? Thanks

Asus Royal Club in Imbi. The bummer is that it only opens on office hours.

I accidentally knocked my EeePC 901 and damaged the LCD. Replacing it would cost RM500. sad.gif

Buying newer models would be more cost effective, but I opted for repairs since its my baby. sad.gif

Will probably get it back next week.

Just check my 1005HA status in Asus website:

Send to Evernew : 26/12/2009
Asus received the unit : 4/1/2010
Status : Waiting for Material

So you guys with EeePC, please be gentle with your keypad. One faulty button will make you Eee-less nearly a month. Hope they stick on just selling motherboard. I won't buy their notebook anymore!

If you just went to the service center, and they keyboard is in stock, it will be fixed on the spot.
Speaking from experience.

Also, kinda suprised to see Evernew took 2 weeks to send the item, considering the building where Asus Service Center is just next door. (Considering its Evernew at LYP).

Bought and installed win 7 on my T91. AWESOME.
The built in support for touchscreen in Win 7 is simply AWESOME.

Also will buy Alienware M11X next month, thus elling off my older EeePC 901.

At last bought the Eee 1005PE. Upgraded to 2GB ram. So far so good just sometime lag a bit. It is expected as it is netbook not notebook hahaha.

One thing to ask, this netbook said can stand for about 14hours. But I used it the most I can get is 6-8 hours only. Ceh.
*
The advertised hours is when you use it with wifi off, minimum lighting display, bluetooth off and most hardware features off.

I own Asus PC EEE 1005PE white netbook. I am just wondering if anybody face a problem when uploading pics to facebook especially?
*
That has nothing to do with machine. It could be your browser, your internet connection or your java apps.

ok... not sure the reason. But I can upload to LYN and my gmail. FB from the first day, not even a single pic...
*
Like I said, that has nothing to do with the hardware.

Try using other internet browsers.

Ok... The thing is that, I use the same broadband before i change to this netbook. With the old notebook, i can upload. Now, I have a bit of problem. What internet browsers are you refering to? I tried IE, Google Chrome and Firefox. All not able to.
*
I think your java plugin might be whacked. Because THERES NO WAY IN HELL this would be a machine issue.

Facebook uses Java plugin for uploading pictures.

If I wanna bring my EEE PC to warranty at Asus Royal Club, at Imbi this weekend. What else should I bring along? Do I need to bring my C-Zone receipt or some warranty card in the box?
*
Last time I just brought the lappy, since they have the barcodes sticker inside.

Depend on the price. Since it is rare, you might want to consider getting a brand new 10" netbook for peace of mind. They are getting slimer and more portable with each new model.
*
And their battery holds more and more powers nao. I saw one up to 10 hours of usage. sweat.gif

Usually Asus will provide xp drivers on their website. Better check with the website your model first.

Thanks for the advice. Just that Im confuse as most netbook specs are the same - but got so many price, some are below 1k mark.

So, any model u can suggest for best value/performance/specs.

Thinking of surveying/buying during this week/pc fair..
Thanks
*
The specs are indeed almost all the same. Therefore people always compare:

The battery life.
The ram upgrade: possible/not possible/ddr2/ddr3
Value added: some offer free online storage, some offer extra warranties, some comes with recovery partition, some bundled it with free ext dvd (fujitsu)
