Unless you've spacious room to place all the 5 speakers properly then of coz the S550 will outperform the S730, otherwise it's wiser to buy S730 and use the rest of the money to buy a decent SC to pair with it.

hmmm any users here have their HCS2330 affecting their input devices such as microphones?, when any sound plays out there will be a repeat in my microphone(input) thus making other users hearing the same thing they talked earlier(Skype), tested with different computer also same result but using other speakers 2.1/headphones 2.0 wont have such issue, tried cable change and so on...still having same result....tested various motherboard, different os, drivers as well....should i RMA it? btw is over one year ady

LOL, set SW to 0 and you can as well chuck away the subwoofer... I used to set the SW to 6, bass around 2-3 and treble 3-4.

Yup, there'll b some bass, but the bass from the satts will totally cover the bass from SW, that's the reason why some ppl will feel that the SW bass is not "strong" bcoz they set the SW to 0, therefore they only feel the bass from the satts.

Em, how do you know? I tot you're using MX5021? It depends on individual, SW and satts bass are diff type of bass, SW bass is tight and whereas satt one is boomy, I don't think tight bass( mid bass) will make someone headache/dizzy xD It's the satt bass (Low bass) that kills a person. Anyway, I'm not using any SC/programme/equalizer when I placed the SW at 6, so it's jus fine to me

not always. depending on how low the subwoofer can go, actually the one that suffers, if your room is small, is the one outside / beside your room.  deep bass travel further since they have longer wavelength. prepare to get complaints.
