I believe Cao Cao's side is considered as badass side, so Zaku is being picked......

In fact, to me, painting a SD is much more complicated and hard if you want to make it nice like some of our pro's work here....
Coz SD is smaller, masking is harder compared to those 1/100 model kits.....

If you can put some military camo, it would be nicer.....

I never use blue tac before too....
Afraid the blue tac will be hard to be taken off or will strip off the paint....

Even masking tape sometimes will strip off the paint, is it because I didnt use surfacer?

SD Seed Zaku is a good kit to start with as it has a very good finishing without any detailing added....
Snap fit and paint will get ur SD Zaku looks very nice.....

For cement, Bandai kits are good enough to hold the parts together without using cement not like military model kits. Cements are normally used to cover seamline, but I am not good in that....

No diff between the kits.....
Normally what we get over here, all the comics is in English version.
If you get from Japan, then it will be Japanese version.
If you get from HK or Taiwan, then it will be in Mandarin version.

The only diff is from the comic, no changes on the model kits.

Seeing this thread so quiet these few days, spam it with my some new updated Zakus:

Slash Zaku:
Repaint the machine gun to make it in metal black (but not so successful and not so colourful )





Zaku Concert version:
Can't find any decal, so using masking tape and spray to make the 'decal' on the shoulder part (but a bit ugly )



Hospital Zaku:
Repaint its helmet to make it doesnt looks like McD Zaku (or in fact it becomes more like McD Zaku )

I din use handpaint one wor....

The putty is to cover the hole but this type of putty will shrink when dries, so end up doing this for 2-3 times.....
I just realised the paing for pink zaku is getting thicker.....

I do the hand part very late, so cincai cincai paint it....

New Year wishes: Bandai releases all other SDs (like SD Akatsuki, SD Infinite Justice, SD Unicorn, all SD Sanguo characters and etc....., and dont forget the sanguo soldiers' boxset).
But this will make us poor especially the time time when the yen rate is that high and economy so bad......

Oops, I still havent start my small soldiers build yet.....

Ya, Lu Xun can transform to jet mode.....
Kind of weird when red hare horse can transform to motorbike and sanguo character can transform to jet....

Want to start on a project that has been stopped for quite a long time (which is my initial purpose of going into gundam). Military modeling....
I have an 1:800 Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier. I just take that out to clean it from the dust last weekend..... All decals gone....
So have to find decals for this aircraft carrier. (this so happens to be my first model kits....)

Hi, actually those MAs came from Lv Bu boxset.
And that MA can transform into 4 modes for different Sanguo characters....

This is why Sanguo SD is quite good in design but in term of joint, a bit disappointting.....
They can make it better if you can use those joints like Seed/Destiny series.....
