just a reminder here guys, if u r thinking of submiting this dio to competition(which i think u should), keep in mind that there might be still size limitation for entry which for this year bakuc was 50cm x 50cm x 50cm.

for that limited space, having 12 SDs in a dio, might have a problem of scarcity of real estate. U dont want to line up all SDs together, and just make them look..... standing(like the one done by litt takk) as if they r not doing anything, but just stand there. of course, if u have already think of a way to tackle this problem, that will be great!

i also like the reference, snaps taken from the game. The computer graphic is superb! I suggest let more than 1 person to fully concentrate on making the dio base (The ground, wall, gate, trees etc) cause building those stuff alone, will require more work than building 3 SDs combined (i estimate la )

Also about the time frame. diorama is like photo, capture a scene within a time frame. the longer the time frame, the more activities are happening in the dio; hence, it has this danger of viewers might not get the story (coz too many things happening together at the same time). Try to shorten the time.

For example, if u r making "attack at the tiger gate", that dio's time might be 10 minutes to like half an hour. Imagine u r doing a dio, taken from the tiger gate battle, with a 2 second time frame? for example, the 2 seconds where the archers start shooting the arrows. imagine at that moment u h a camera, n u snap a photo; freezes everything. as a result, u ll get a lot of "moving" things frozen in time. eg, arrow in the air, soldiers having funny posture coz they r afraid while dodging arrows.

of course, there r many ways of presenting a story or a dio, n there's no right n wrong about each way. i just think u guys have chosen the seems-to-be easiest way, but in fact one of the hardest way of doing a dio. this dio as u guys r planning is really high level stuff. it's like drawing a human n drawing a ghost. drawing human seems to be easiest coz we see them all the time. but if we want to draw a nice human, it is much tougher than drawing a ghost coz nobody ever sees a ghost n they cant see any flaw in the drawing.

as for the SD GB during bakuc, the reason i pick a subject with a very clear focus point, which is the flying zaku n the goalie, is because, in GB, it's extremely hard to standardise everybody's work, especially those with uniform n standard color. With a clear focus point, your viewers will b more "forgiving" for all the other SDs besides the 1 or 2 main characters. in other words, to avoid your viewers focus too much time on unnecessary things. "Why the other zaku's color not same one?"

i suggest try to have a dio with very strong n clear focus point, let the guys with the most skill in your group concentrate. your viewers will have majority of their time n focus on these few elements. at least, for the first impression, what the viewers have in memory is the few kits done by your top guys. The key thing is: lead the focus of your viewers to what u want them to see n remember.
