what you can DIY is:

-use a powerdrill with a small bit to grind off the top piece of the screw. then after safe removal, try to grind of the remaining of the screw with an even smaller bit (this is risky work).

otherwise, it's really hard as screws on laptops are pretty small. being a flathead screw doesn't help much in this case.
