Thanks.

Had compared VPC2007 and VMWare. IMO, the later is so much better. I would even go as far as to say VMWare is a must have if you value online security.

When I press the key (active window = VPC), my host pc react to the key press instead... QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Oct 29 2008, 05:30 PM) Had compared VPC2007 and VMWare. IMO, the later is so much better. To create virtual machine, you either need to have MS VPC or VMWare workstation. Or you can go on Internet to download some ready made vm.
VMWare workstation is not free. MS VPC is.
But VMPlayer is free download. It can play vm created by MS VPC or VMWare.

Guess this might caused by my host window's setting.

I've been using MS VPC for more than a month and so far I'm able to use keys like ESC, Tab, Windows only for once and I'm not sure why it worked that time. As initially I thought it is normal that these keys do not work in MS VPC. Anyway is Virtualbox better than MS VPC? Is it free?

I not sure why it wont work on mine. Shortcut keys I used quite frequently: ALT+Tab, Windows+E, Windows+M and Esc. And now I have to rely on mouse click when I use MS VPC.

If this still couldn't work, I think will need to re-format my window. Thanks a lot atomica bro

Hi bro, I just downloaded Virtualbox but unable to install it. It return this message "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation". I googled a bit on this error and try to change in gpedit.msc but still fail to run. Not sure what went wrong here... This post has been edited by Shinichi: Nov 2 2008, 04:39 PM

Hi all, I'm not able to dial in to company VPN when using VirtualBox. Can anyone guide me how to configure the network setting?
I have no problem connecting to VPN when using MS VPC 2007.
Thanks in advance.

in your network settings of your guest os, you need to set "Attach To" to "Host Interface" and add a new Host Interface and select it. then open your network connections, you should see a virtual network adapter called "virtualbox host interface x" and "Local Area Connection" (or your main physical nic) select these 2 nic's, right click and bridge them

Anyway, can I know if I dial in VPN within guest, will my host PC's connection share the access? Or the VPN is only limited within guest? And let say if my company VPN is tracking my internet activities, will they be able to track activities from host PC? Hope you don't mind I ask such question as I do not know much on networking thingy... This post has been edited by Shinichi: Nov 11 2008, 12:10 AM
