Had compared VPC2007 and VMWare. IMO, the later is so much better. I would even go as far as to say VMWare is a must have if you value online security.

To create virtual machine, you either need to have MS VPC or VMWare workstation. Or you can go on Internet to download some ready made vm.
VMWare workstation is not free. MS VPC is. But VMPlayer is free download. It can play vm created by MS VPC or VMWare. |
