The final release date for Windows Vista SP2 will be based on quality. "said by Mike Nash the Corporate VP, Windows Product Managemet"

Interesting enough, why does your SP2 build listed as being released in 2007?

I'm using x64, and unfortunately SP2 is not available for x64. Only 1 update is available after applying the trick. Vista SP2 Servicing Stack Update Build 16489 for x64 (KB955430)

SP1 is good for most use now. You may want to use Vista now provided your hardware can support it, i.e. preferably at least dual core CPU and have 2 GB RAM (1GB also can support, but still recommended to have 2GB at least)
