another ques... i registered for the postpaid few hours ago... around 4pm ++... and the digi staff said it'll be activated within 24 hours... i'm away far from my home and my old phone is not with me right now... very troublesome to always change the sim card to check if it's activated or not... so, can i roughly how long will digi take to activate it?

depends some within hrs some within days some never because it could have some trouble from your previous telco. Why dont you call DIGI direct and ask?

is it a new principle number or u switching from prepaid to postpaid?

if its a new number, normally it take few hours to activate lor, my fastest record is 30mins.. haha
but the important point is they got summit u immediately or not, if not u hav to wait lor..

if its a pre to post number, u hav to wait longer lor, like 1 - 2 days..

good luck  smile.gif

You don't need to change the sim card to check. What telco are you using now? Maxis? If out of sudden your Maxis line does not have coverage anymore then it's about time to change to Digi simcard smile.gif

i'm not on MNP nor changing for prepaid to postpaid... i'm registering for a brand new number for a supplementary line under 1family...

I just flip through my phonebook... and guess what? There are only 4 digi numbers in there sad.gif

Here in Kedah it seems like digi never sets off... Or maybe it's just my friends don't? blush.gif

ya... have to admit that digi is not as popular as maxis/hotlink... unlike in other places like perak, KL or sabah... one of my friend from perak said that only ah pek use hotlink/maxis at her hometown... haha!!! digi is the "in" telco there..

but when i check my account status through *128£, it said my account is not activated... does that 128 apply only to prepaid or what?

It is already activated and it takes around 24 hours to update your information on their record.
*128# applies to both prepaid and postpaid.
*
oh... okay... vikingw2k said that we can check how much we had used for the postpaid by pressing *128*1*1#... i tried but it said it's only for principal line... anyway for supplementary line to check that?

Is your account separated from main account?
If yes, then you should be able to check... Else, you have to check from main account. You can apply to have separated account. smile.gif
Anyway, it could be your line has just activated. You may check it tomorrow. smile.gif
okay, will try again tomorrow... thanks for the fast reply...

i couldn't really find it on few pages back... and what i mean is not switching like from maxis to digi, etc...

it's that there's suddenly appeared a setting in my phone under calls setting "switching to line 2" which i never had when i was using my hotlink prepaid...

All phones have line 1 and line 2 for DiGi.
We use line 1 and line 2 can only receive calls but cannot call out.
Nevertheless, line 2 has other usage too.

Your friends Digi call your Digi = Digi to Digi.
Your Digi divert to your Hotlink = Digi to Hotlink (your Digi will pay for this divert call).

what if the one calling to my digi are one of the supplementary line under the 1family plan? i'm using digi 1family plan now. the call should be free... even if diverted to my hotlink it's still free?

Sub line call main line = Digi to Digi (free)
Your main line divert to Hotlink = You pay for the call from Digi to Hotlink.
That means your sub line call you is free but you pay for the call when you received the call on your Hotlink number.
