Simple and nice. The dial looks very big but it's only 40mm? Is your wrist small?

Yes that's true, don't use quick change date between 9pm and 3am because the date changing machanism is engaging. You might broke the machanism if setting the dateĀ   blink.gif (only apply to automatic watch)

*
I was wondering about this. Do it mean we cannot change when 9pm to 3am because the day/date is suppose to change so it might break smtg internally? How bout 9am to 3pm? Is it ok to change because the day/date is not affected?

plkvoon , at one glance, I thought the Longines is 42-44mm  tongue.gif The Panerai would cover your whole wrist. Just kidding  brows.gif

silverwave , yes you can change the date/day during 9am to 3am as the mechanism is not function during that time.

Lurker , IMHO Mido is an entry level swiss watch brand. Do try is yourself see whether you like it. It is available in Watchshoppe.
For the Seiko Monster, most of the watch dealer does carry it, is not a big problem to find one.

Thanks for clearing my doubt. smile.gif

*
Tissot is a good watch. My dad has one and although he never really takes good care of it, it still shines out. biggrin.gif

All are good brands, but between Cyma and Tissot, I'll choose the latter. With your budget, do check out Oris also. Good luckĀ  rclxms.gif
*
I thought the minumum for Oris is around 2k++? It's a good watch too.

This part is very true. biggrin.gif

Btw, are watch prices quite fixed in Malaysia? I mean like Tag Heuer offers 18-20% max (as far as i know). I was browsing thru some international sites and the Tag Heuer model i bought seem to be cheaper by RM500 for weekend sale. The normal discounted price is same as the price i bought. Any comments on this? hmm.gif

The discount ratio is depend on the brands. Tag Heuer is fixed by their mother company, LVMH, to enhance their brand image. Yes, the prices for some online site might be cheaper than local watch dealer. However, some of them would not provide warranty card and Tag Heuer might not honour any warranty claim.

Thanks for the reply. Btw, i just found out that is it not good to use automatic watches for sports like golf & gym. Is it true? Is yes, why? hmm.gif

I've been playing golf for many years but i have never seen anyone wearing expensive watches. Next time must do a survey and ask the golfers tongue.gif

When i bought my watch, the sales lady told me it might cause problems in the moving mechanisms for long term usage under such conditions. Wanted to double check whether the info was true. Well, just to be safe, i won't wear it. biggrin.gif

nice watch mirage-rs. I like the day/date pattern. Looks unique. How old is the watch btw?

Btw, i double confirmed bout automatic watches with the shop. It's not advisable to use it for strong impact sports. I also questioned her about the day/date changing at 1152pm. She asked her technician and he said he could be because i rarely wear it. She also asked me try for a month and see whether there is any difference. I hope what the technician said is right biggrin.gif

@ silverwave : No altimeter... but the one on the right is Emergency, which will activate an aviation emergency beacon when pulled. Need to sign a contract with Breitling that I should only pull during genuine emergency. If genuine case, they'll replace a new watch and pay the rescue expenses (if I'm still alive). If not, I have to pay all the rescue expenses occurred. From Left : Chrono Avenger + UTC about RM11k and the Emergency about RM15k.

What is 15k during an emergency? Life is more precious biggrin.gif

Does it mean once u pull the emergency beacon the watch can't be used anymore?

I read somewhere also not to shake it too hard. The best is to make circular motions when the watch fully stops.

I agree with ck77, Oris is a good entry level swiss watch. Tissot is not bad either.

The back part of the Bell & Ross is very unique, like a plan. tongue.gif What are the prices for BR normally?

Rolex has a nice classic look.

Btw, i found these pictures of Oris Diver in the internet. Beautiful

A question to all luxury watch owners, do u guys/girls wear your luxury watch for daily use or just for certain occasions?

My concern here is more about the environment of wearing such watches, it could attract thieves.
