hai guys,i just did my 5k svc at puchong last week, after the svc i feel that my car is a little bit heavy and under power even my wife who seldom drive the car also complaining.it feels like the car hv not been svc for a long tym, anybody experienced that???pls help.a bit upset about the power.
This is just my personal opinion. There is one possibility; the foreman has open up the battery terminal to refill the battery water. Hence, ECU is out of original setting. I suggest that you take it back to the service center to reset the ECU. Or you leave it like that and let the ECU to learn up your driving habbit and customise it to your form. The ECU is designed to be very intelligent as to pick up the driving habiit of the driver and it will adjust accordingly. Of course, reset is prefferred.
Generally, resetting the ECU is very expansive; range from RM40~200 depends on the type of car. I am not sure abt Eastar or will it be under warranty(dun know).
Just keep us update, are you still having this feeling of under power? Reset done?
Added on July 24, 2009, 8:00 pmCherry Service Centre Puchong, maybe you can help us to answer these questions. When the battery terminals are disconnected for refill battery water or changing battery or battery dead, does it need to reset the ECU? How much is to reset ECU? Doesn it under warrenty? Please advice.
Appreciate if you can advice us. Thank you.
