QUOTE(lazo @ Nov 29 2008, 10:13 PM)
whenever we sync the ipod touch (connect using usb to pc)
then
it starts charging
but sometime i only sync a few albums then disconect already

means only charge a few minutes

i wonder if this is ok?
because i have my own charger (connect to ac)

if sync few minutes.. then charge few min.. then dont chage , then use.. then charge a few minute again.. will it spoil the battery?
*
as long as its connected it'll charge. doesnt have to be syncing anything also it will charge.
only 2 signs there
the sign with a lightning bolt, like a sideways zap, means its charging.
the other one, like a plug sign, means its full and can be taken off.
unless im mistaken, it'll always charge when its connected, dont need to sync anything also can.

Uhm, if you're planning to buy application just get an iTunes Gift card and register it under US.
Oh ya some advice if you wanna create US account, there's some state that tax you when buy via iTunes.
The state I know so far which doesn't tax online purchase is Kansas.
*
yeah i read about the tax thing u guys went through a few pages back, in that case when u register ur billing address etc. what'd u guys write?
or did u just put university address or the apple headquarters? laugh.gif

Hey guys I just bought an iPod Touch 2Gen.
But i found that the battery life is darn f*cking short.
I literally have to charge it everyday...

Is there a problem with my iPod? Are there ways to save the power? Should I take it to machines for checking?

Thanks guys

i think thats normal, videos and games and wifi up to a couple of hours, its stated in the specs too i think.
oh there it is, 36 hours audio, and 6 hours video.

i don't think you need a full charge one, just plug it in for the first time and let it charge until the complete-charge sign comes on..
or am i wrong? hmm.gif

complete sign is jsut the battery in green, and it's full aite?
it doesn't say it's complete...

duhhh... help
*
no no, complete charge sign is your battery sign with a plug sign in the middle of it.
charging sign is the lightning zap one mar, right? fully charged is the battery sign with a plug inside instead of the lightning bolt.
again, i could be wrong, someone please confirm, thanks nod.gif

i usually use specific video converter to convert them. for win pc...videora is best...can donlod youtube sumore (with videora youtube downloader). for mac...i guess new handbrake would do the job.
*
in short, mpeg4 video. there're many converters out there, the one im using is called free DVDvideosoft.

how do you people jaga the battery life?

just bought.. so wish to take care of it well

haha i sense alot of answers to this query, i'll start okay? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
from the ipod websiteeee, the most basic thing u can do to prolong your ipod battery usage time is turn it off when ur not using...duhhhh whistling.gif apparently even leaving it on standby mode drains a bit of battery.
who's next? laugh.gif

whoops xsara, ur friend is right blush.gif
i think i read only the last line under the heading hold and pause : http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html
"Also, if you are not listening to iPod, pause it, or turn it off by pressing the play button for two seconds."

other than the ones suggested on the apple website, any other special techniques to ensure ur ipod battery has a longer lasting lifespan? hmm.gif
