Hello all SVS Owners, why not post some of the pictures to show since you all have folked out so much $$ to invest. Busy enjoying bass effect huh??!! I think most of you have forgotten all your svs subs are still raw (not running in). I already seen some have blasted their new toys giving review here and there. Dont run out of patience, just at meantime keep shut up and post some pics. After 1 month of running in then you give reviews when the sub performed to its best !

I am using QED Y-splitter too and I thought my sub has gained about 3db that I have to reduce that much at the AVR. Apart from gaining in volume, the bass is tighter....what do you think of the Y-splitter?

Or should we say in Hifi terms, the idea is to reproduce the actual sound recorded in the studio. In other words, we need a pure equipments to project the scene as close as to actual instruments placed in the studio and even imaging them out their position in front of the listeners. The main is to get as natural sound as possible without much remixing. Therefore, like anfieldude says there isnt much bass in the region of 50hz and below.

Whereas in movies, most or part of the action especially explosion is so called "faked sound" or mixing to sound real. A idea of good HT is to present them to sound real. I've read an article saying in movie for eg a nuclear explosion, they arent going to put a microphone next to it to record.....
