My first impression on the PC12+ when I was at htkaki room was 'WOW' that thing is huge and tall.
Test kung fu panda and iron man and yes the SVS trademark is there where you can fell the deep bass produced by this beast.
Cant wait to order mine as I'm now 'subless'.

Yes. biggrin.gif

Just found this info last night.Quoted by Ed Mullen :

All woofers are hand-built in the USA by SVS. Amps are sourced from Canada. Cylinders are hand-built in the USA by SVS. Box subs are assembled in the USA by SVS, with domestic and overseas cabinets.

I guess they outsourced their cabinets to China?

I think I found a nice spot for SVS bolster. Right under the clock there and against the wall. Since its my living room, for sure my guest will wonder what's that big cylinder thing laugh.gif

"oh...that's my show cabinet" laugh.gif

Regarding the 220V certification, I would say that is just plain bullshit from SVS.  IF you read the AVS forum, SVS have got their 220V certification long ago when they started to ship to Europe and nothing was mentioned about the steep fees they pay for that.  Again why hefty fee on 220V certification when 220V is like a norm in half of the globe?  Its just an excuse for SVS to charge more.  When the first group of Malaysian including me order the SVS, we all were not charge any extra for 220V certification so why now?  Not to mention the Singaporeans neighbour have been order SVS sub long before us and never were there any mention or 220v certification fee.  In fact they got bulk order discount.  Like I said SVS have got the 220V certification to export it long ago.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Now that part I agree with u bro. They never charged me when I ordered the pb10 back in 2007 and also with the current one. Its either something to do with UK regulation or else ???Then again I might be wrong. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Cheers.

Welcome to the club. I'm pretty sure its worth the investment as many others do.

Just to share, placement of the svs sub is very crucial. I've just moved my pc12+ to the back of my listening position and

wow, bass can be felt not heard. The only set back is that I have to find quite a long cable abt 35'. Any of sifu here can guide

me where to find it.

Agreed. There are too many openings la. cannot do anything. So right now the pc is hidden at the back. WAF also crucial but with the new resting place, HM no bising anymore. Well actually I've just shifted the main listening area to the living room near the sliding door which was small then the previous(dining hall). Anyway any recommendation for the sub cable e.g monoprice cable?

p/s : Whitesnake have stock?

Thank you maja.

Yeah placement is important. Unfortunately, i dun have a dedicate ht room. So, not much choice, it's either the left corner or adjacent to wall. Wifey will go bonkers if our huge bin is parked some where in the middle of the living room ahahahahah!!

Get the svs woofer cable from htkaki lar .. he has the standard 3m length. For 35feet, maybe he has the roll supply to customise one for u.

Cheers.
*
Same la bro. With that thing parked in front, its overshadowed my main + tv. that why i have to moved it. Besides corner will not yield the best sound result for the sub after doing some crawling.

Already have the 3m svs sub cable. what I'm doing now is connecting it with my extra rca cable using the adapter. will asked him if he can customized it for me.

Thanks.

Monoprice cable is quite reputed for its value for money. I guess you wouldn't go wrong with it.

Btw, a new PC-Ultra is nowly residing near Tropicana. Another PC-Ultra will find its new home on this Sat.

Thanks. Good to know taukeh is doing so well with the sales. Keep the SVS poison alive bro. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
