QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 8 2009, 11:23 PM) For sure it's the room node. Very difficult to settle. Bass trap, acoustic treatment, etc. Not trying to poison you. If you are lazy wt all these, EQ1 would be the ideal solution for that but since the valley is insanely deep, the EQ1 will not be able to get a flat graph out of it. haha..yeah. the position is more of less fixed. Still can do some lateral movement adjustment.Anyway, if you do need SPL meter, pls let me know. As for EQ1, it shall be back here in 2 weeks time. You may try it out by then. eq1 in north now? can help you take it back from pg if its there. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 9 2009, 12:04 AM) It's ok since I still have a unit wt me. LOL...... hoho. poison poison. If both EQ1 oso kena sapu, then I will 'firewire' 2 more units I ran the svs hot yesterday while watching monsters inc. the scene where CDA destroying the kiddo's socks was explosive. QUOTE(jchong @ Nov 9 2009, 08:35 AM) This time REW connected to AVR input right (and not sub input)? yes. it is to the AVR. SVS is set to 20Hz, room EQ none, gain 10oclock.Why 30cm in front of listening position? I thought should be at the listening position. Peaks and valleys are common, but yeah the valley at 50 Hz is deep! About -26 dB down from 75 dB. Even the valley at 62 Hz quite deep at -18 dB. The EQ1 also won't be able to boost that much to cut that valley completely. I know your placement options quite limited, otherwise you can try other positions. Also I see the sub starting to roll off sharply at 23 Hz. Means you're missing out the deep, deep bass. actually, wanted to put it on the listening position, but » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « maybe i try to get the rs spl meter from htkaki for another run. |

congrats on your new pb13!
for 16Hz settings, single port block i guess the middle one should be the one? airflow will be more "symmetrical"? This post has been edited by kiam: Nov 10 2009, 11:17 PM |

haha...at last, get to watch TF2 yesterday night.
I have to say that the PQ of IMAX TF2 is really amazing. AQ wise have to crank it up a little. was running -13db (-6db is ref) svs is delivering the bass without bottom-ing out (maybe later test at louder volume). still running 10oclock gain, but avr sw output about 2db higher. although the lfe is somewhat overdone, but i think i love it. QUOTE(ar188 @ Dec 17 2009, 12:12 PM) can I get also? BTW, just finished Hellboy II. My BF haul just reached this week. top-notch boomboompow. I set the SVS to 20Hz, like arj, the SVS gives the most "weight" effect. the golden army never felt more "weighty" |
