this game does have its good points ie graphics and the GPS map (very nice!)

but when a game forces you to drive 10-20 mins, going past endlessly respawning checkpoints at every mission.... it's really detracting to the experience.

I understand the whole immersiveness and realism thing they're trying to put in, but looking at the way they were executed, it's no different than having to have to pee and eat in-game.

also did i mention how death-loving your companions are?

this game disappoints.... i played and loved fc1. but this one, tak boleh lah. i got mine as part of my graphics card bundle.... so i dont feel so much "pain" as those who paid 100+ for the game. but still kinda waste.

yea, the buddies die too damn easily and i wish there was a longer respawn on those guardstops...

(10-20 min drive? wat about bus?)

anyways eventhough i think this is a OK game (compared to the superb game farcry and crysis), i sitll have fun with it...
though i find the enemies can camoflouge really well (and me using a ps3 to play it aint good~~~ since my pc cant support the game)...
the dunia engine is superb though especially the fire n explosion (forest fire addict here)

avoid gta 4 unless you can accept very low graphics while it is still buggy like crap

LOL...The yellow thing is just an indicator...Yes it is the target of the mortar...So you have a couple of second to move from that area.

I already at Act 2, but got stuck when defending the barge from gunboats and mortar fire. anyone already reached this level and help a brother out?

Depends on the difficulty you're playing on, take out mortars first/enemies nearby then focus on boats while often running back to get some aid.

its actually just fix and kill...
keep crouching behind those crates when reloading and so... i went on that mission with a rocket launcher, woot...

Just normal difficulty..I try hitting mortar sites and boats and fix barge, but easily killed..I try hiding behind crates and fix barge, but the boats killed me..

use the mounted grenade launcher and spam it. 1 hit from mortar normally cant kill u in normal difficulty
Once you get hit then hide and fix urself up and then go out blast them again

Yes I would like to know too since my laptop GPU is only a mid range GeForce Go 7600 GT.

BTW I went to Cathay Cineleisure IT shop (can't remember which one) and I saw a shop selling FC2 at RM49.99 and wondered is this correct price or not since TSB selling at RM179 still. I was in a hurry so didn't have time to ask the sales person. I will be going back there this weekend to check it out. If bogus one then I'll just head to SS2 TSB afterwards.
