Which open world game on the console allows you to save anywhere?

yeah, more or less what yer described there. Screen tearing due to vertical refresh not in synch. reason for FPS drop is compensate the synching.

FC2 is suppose to cater for open-ended gameplay and yes it has some rpg elements in there. In my opinion this just gives more opportunity to be creative as how to takedown the enemies. Some may not like this aspect of the game but i find it quite satisfying. The only pet-peeve i have is the Malaria thing. More of a hindrance than anything. Apart from that, it's actually quite fun to play.

hmmm...what is Bloom? i disable it...and the game become much smoother

1 more think...does the latest nvidia driver 180.43 really improve the game?

I hate the bloom. How to disable the bloom? In RACE DRIVER GRID, without the bloom is much nicer.

GRID I think cannot...ler. Yah! makes graphics sucks.

Yep, Far Cry franchise is better developed by CryTek. Ubisoft sucks at FPS, they better focusing on PoP

Actually in GRID I got rid of the bloom by hacking the configuration file. And I think the same can be done in FC2

yes you can, there's a XML config file in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2 named GamerProfile.xml and there's an option for Bloom in there... but never tried it though...

I already disable the bloom for GRID. Thanks. Will look it out for FC2.

I didnt want to prove anything. Just ppl brought up the point and kinda towards blaming console for the quick save thing. Sorry for not able to let u understand what i am saying.

Btw, the driving thing is really shitty la. Even GTA also din ask u drive so far... damn. And the guard post respawn, this game is just far from perfect. How was the multiplayer? Anyone tried it yet?

Yeah, Ubisoft think they can still deliver the same Far Cry experience, but they got it wrong, It's off my to-buy list. I would rather buy and play the old Far Cry...

At first im was thinking to buy the Collecters version also but now...arrrr!!!! better save my $ waiting for Fear2.

i know its weird for me to say but i prefer FC2 than Farcry. i dun even finish the 1st game, due to the gameplay. while in FC2, hey i still happily driving around doin 360 flip on my jeep.

Hmm... Ubisoft should have done more action RPGs rather than FPSes. They've done a much better job at RPGs.

Considering removing this from my to-buy list...
