saw some AST at Pet Safari last week.. tempting to buy but need to know how to take care of them.

how big aquarium to start with?

water level height?

water filter required? if the water level is low, what water filter can be use?

what to feed to them?

As i travel often, can not always feed with live fish so is it ok to give turtle pellets?
*
Oh Ikano... bout 1inch+ right.... for babies no need so big aqua... coz hard for AST to get the food. AST waiting food to come near their mouth, wont swimming hunting for it.

Actually no need filter also will do... but u just need change the water 2days once. Just a little (1-2inch) bit over their shell level will do.

Feed wit bloodworm or ikan longkang/ baby koi or chicken liver

AST seldom/ wont eat pelllets wo... Fishes still the Best coz got calsium.

Btw, how many AST left in there?

yes, the size about 1 inch+.

i normally travel between 1 - 2 weeks so i think better get water filter.

i can get my sister to feed them but maybe not change water.

chicken liver also take ah? can consider that.

when i was there.. got about 5 AST but a lot Common ST.
*
oh i see.. then u need to find the underwater filter lo...if u r using small tank. Big tank not recommended (my suggestion), coz ur AST so small. if u feed then by urself then stil OK, but if u put fish wait ur AST to catch.. then a big problem jor.. AST wont swim for catch, juz open mouth & wait.. later ur AST at 1side, the fish another side = susah sweat.gif

yup, chicken liver can...but for me is dirty la...coz if small fish, normally AST telan whole (depent on size). tongue.gif

aiks 5 AST ka? me last saturday go, if tak silap kira got 4 only hmm.gif

anyway... becareful...dont kena bite finger !!!
