Oh thanks for the inputs. The broken tail one is very active while the perfect one is too inactive.

And both size around 4-5 inches, but the price is way too expensive.

RM 650.
*
hmmm then choose wisely lo. U from Penang, right? not sure about the prices there. But KL currently at LFS also selling 2.5inches+- about rm350+ jor. sweat.gif

Yeah, I'm from Penang. Kinda hard to get AST.

By the way, why yellowish AST is more expensive than the normal dark brown one? When both grow up, the color is going to be the same de ma?

If both grow up will have the same color, then I don't want to buy it.

Else, I'll get a dark brown and yellowish together.

AST and Common has been together for 14 months while the matamata and snakehead has been with them for about 6 months. Don't worry they are monitored closely and they are currently being housed in a 6 feet by 3 feet aquarium. They will be moved to my outdoor pond once they are too big, so I have to clear my carps by then, hahaha thumbup.gif

wtf..6 feet? shocking.gif

i tot is 4feet u r using...hahahah. got Pond somemore...how big is ur house? got extra room ah? next time i come JB, no need rent hotel jor. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Faith+1 @ Feb 20 2010, 09:49 PM)
Guys, I'm going to set a new aquarium first while hunting for AST at the same time. I want to ask few opinions/suggestions regarding the tank setup.

Going to get a 4-5 inches of AST.

I planned to put the water higher (around 1/4 depth of 3 to 4 feet aquarium), so that the filter can work. Driftwood will be provided so that AST can climb up to get some air.

Is this kind of setup is recommended for AST? This kind of setup will caused AST to have breathing difficulties as the turtle have to climb for air frequently?

I need some inputs and enlightenment from turtle hobbyist here.

Thank you very much.
*
For me is setting the water level 2inch+ over the AST shell. My AST (3inch+ & 4inch+) on the ground, they still can breath when pull long their neck. Since u got times, look for the filter which can use in 2 direction. Im using 1 China Brand de laugh.gif laugh.gif

Thanks for your reminder, I prefer fierce and active turtles. Haha.

Sorry poor english...wat i means is the filter can put Horizontal & Vertical way. Currently im using this SunSun China Brand.. Rm30+ for Large, Rm20+ for Medium....But only can use for Max 1week, then must clean the filter.
