Attending the recent Mini-OC challenge which been organize by Team BreakTheLimit have open up myself to the world of hardcore overclocking. Its make me feel that i'm such a noob in overclocking.Nevertheless Team BreakTheLimit.net is really good in overclocking and very informative to their participant.
So it turn out to be the winners are: First: bryanyeo87 Runner up: a1098113 2nd runner up: MENCHELSEA Sorry i don't have the picture for the event.
The event end around 8.00pm but the best part i myself did not go back empty handed Team BreakTheLimit is kind enough to lend me a review sample of Aeneon Xtune 8GB dual kit DDR2-800 CL5 2X4GB AXT960UD20-25D Ram. so here is a little review on the sample i have on my hand now.

Kaiser point of view:(personal view) Ok from my p.o.v this ram is a must for those who need it, it's make my vista x64 blazing fast compare to my 4GB G skill ram, not to mention gaming with it is just superb, and for me i'm running my processor on air cooling so the overclock level is just nice to get my proc to 3.6GHZ(ram operate @ 2.0v) which is consider as moderate overclock.oh yea forgot to mention, assemble in malaysia.
it work on the same level of my 4GB G skill ram performance level 8, and transfer/read/write stat also not bad consider this is 8GB kit, overall i recommended this ram for gamers and for those who really need the use of huge amount of ram(wonder how it's performance on maximum 16GB ram)
For extreme overclocking i guess they be avoiding this ram since it is very hard to hit 500mhz++(on 2.0v because dare not to push the voltage since this is a review unit i guess for enthusiast it is up to you guys to push this ram to the limit)
overall rating: (4/5) performance: (4/5) price: tba availability: tba
A big thanks to Team BreakTheLimit for giving me a chance to play around with this toy,you guys are the best. for more info i hope team BTL will fill you guys in.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***all review, comment and my opinion have been done personally without bias and based on my own experience, this review have been created on my own freewill and on my own leisure time without any commitment.*** This post has been edited by kaiser_falco: Oct 20 2008, 09:25 PM

my thought exactly...since i have been reading on a few place even ram manufacture saying that only p45 support 4gb stick.. im reluctant at first to accept this stick as i was confident that x48 doesnt support 4gb stick but turn out to be..hell it boot easily hassle free..lol..

QUOTE(168257061 @ Oct 20 2008, 10:15 PM) 4gb dimm to do cl5 900mhz @ what vdimm ? 1.8vdimm ? you can see the everest reading on the screenshot 1.98v for cl5 900mhz,in bios i set 2.0v..i dare not to go past it because this is a sample review unit..but i still think the ram got more kick to throw out..just that it not mine so dare not to try it..

Not bad,8GB of ram 32bit can only support 3.25gb,other 4gb as ramdisk, put all the commonly use app, sure fly But the timing is quite loose but surprisingly can run PL8 I guess you can't have best of both world

We only have one kit of 8GB. Actually got it(Cellshock) on last Friday, just that I didn't bring it to the gathering for testing until yesterday(Monday). Get it from another source. Reggie's still not here yet. This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Oct 21 2008, 12:46 AM
