Hi elf, update my cat's status. Few days ago i bring my cat to vet. The vet said is fungal. Vet gave me two weeks table medicine and anti fungal shampoo.. the vet said it might take time to recover and ask me come back after two week time. So hopefully everything is fine after this..
Beside, my cat fur was drop quite alot recently, just wondering is because of the fungal? Coz two weeks ago i just change his food (IAMS to SP), so still duno is because the food cause him fur drop or fungal issue...

i know why the vet do not give your shampoo... because your case, it may be other type of fungal... and the attack was around eyes. you cannot use shampoo at this place. very dangerous.

but for protection, like you scare the fungal move to new home around the body, yes then you need the shampoo and bath.

the one i used last time is Dermcare - Sebolyse (Clear Foam).

not sure miri got this shampoo or not. i got it from the vet. can't find it at the petshop, because this is vet medicated shampoo. not like the medicated shampoo for fleas in pet shop.

first thing, you need to remove the ringworm. if ringworm is still there, kiki's fur will have hard time to grow.

eh wait, your case is ringworm or other fungal? it only around the eyes right, this shampoo is like for critical ringworm attack which botak botak around the body and tail oww.. your case is not that serious right, since you mention only around eyes?

susah nak pin point what fungal or fungus or parasites ...

you need to confirm this with your vet. even macam fungal.. fungal is a big name. it has different type of fungal.

just like Worms. many types of worms.

Like parasites, we have fleas, tick, lice, walking dandruff, etc etc.

i'm not sure how it look like on your cat. you only can see botak patches? or you see kulit kering? kurap? etc.

Why don't you bring it to the vet?  Let the vet check it out.  If it is fungal then you can treat it with Malaseb shampoo which is specially formulated for fungal.  For kittens bathe it once in every 3 days with Malaseb.  Bathe with warm water and then leave the shampoo on it for 10 minutes.  Make sure it does not lick the shampoo.  After that rinse and then blow dry so that your kitten does not catch a cold.  You can see the difference within a week.  For adult, bathe once a week will do.  My cats used to have fungal and Malaseb works very well.  It costs around RM40 ++ per bottle.  Expensive but worth it.

Some petshops do carry Malaseb.
The vet that I went to is Klinik Yuan at Pandan Indah.
The doctor charged me RM90.00 for 1 jab, 1 bottle of Malaseb and 1 bottle of fur supplement.
After bathing my 2 months old kitten with Malaseb, the fungus got better.
You can actually see the difference in one week.

Last time I got Malaseb fromt he clinic was at RM43.00.  Will try to get you a good discount.  Then Pos Laju might be around RM10.00 or less.  Not really sure la.

anyway where in Miri? I'm from miri too... but now in KL lah... me in Piasau my sister always go to the vet behind this big bungalow. can't remember the vet name.. but it's at the pujut/piasau highway.

my sister bought her pet stuff somewhere near mega hotel... not elly... another one.. its a small petshop (shop lot).. can't remember the name too

my sister said, she went to Live Animal Centre instead of Betty. She inquiry about neutering, and found out Betty price is much higher than Live Animal Centre.

maybe because my sister is frequent customer in live animal centre. this vet is panel vet for both of my sister pets.

and if im not mistaken live animal centre has home delivery and home treatment .. they go to your house (if im not mistaken, you need to call and ask).

That is normal. Nothing you can do much with that attitude. A friend of mine has a cat that is much more weird and sad than yours.

Cat has different attitude. When i was young, i always thought that animal has the same attitude. But i was wrong. They are just like human.

All this attitude and behavior is related to their genetics. If the cat is from good genetic, they will produce good kittens. Else, the other way around.

And my friend told me, he said it is true. His weird cat (who doesnt like to be touch by anybody include owner, and will run away) come from bad genetic. Not from the cat mother and father, but the cat mother's sister (aunty). so it is inherited from the cat aunty.

In pedigree cattery, once a breeder found bad behavior genetic, they will immediately stop breeding the cat, and put it on neuter mode. because they do not want to produce pedigree cat with bad behavior.

Your cat is normal, nothing wrong with him. Even a few of my own cats don't really fancy small children, because all this while, they grew up looking at my face, no children in the house. they will hide, if my niece and nephew are around. but some of them are OK with people.

hi elf, yesterday bring my cat to vet. I ask the vet what the exact skin problem with my cat? The vet can't tell. He used the blue laser light check, said not a ring worm or fungal. They even dono what is that. 
So they just gave a cream, and ask me apply twice in daily. And ask me back another two weeks time.
OMG...

keep bath your kittenwith that shampoo atleast 2 times a week. should recover soon.. so proud of Miri ... me from piasau eheheh.

Im staying in PJ. Trying the cream now. Not getting worst.. just maintain the situation.. The heavy part is the tail.. the infection area like 20 cents coin's big.. 
Now just keep putting the cream, mandi him & wait and see the result..
fyi, the vet put under microscope also can't tell what is that.. they din ask me to see... i think nothing found from there..

beside, im from senadin... 

male recover faster, they can immediately move, and rarely problem occur. you don't even see any changes after the operation. until you see the private part,there's no balls LOL

female recover basically 3-4 days. Make sure not moving to much at this time. They should be OK after 4th day, and fur start to grow back. different from male, vet will shave the female stomach for surgery.

So male easier.

1. Cut the nails... just cut the sharp part... do not cut everything. (read here - http://www.thecatzine.com/2008/06/trimming-your-cats-claws/)

2. Clean the ears... (read here - http://www.thecatzine.com/2008/07/cleaning-cats-ears/)

3. Comb or brush your cat furs before bath... this will remove dead fur first.

4. Now go to the bath room, if your cat has no experience with water, don't bath immediately. this is to avoid stress.. wet your hand, and rub it on the cat's body slow. now increase amount of water, and wet the whole body except the head.

5. shampoo the whole body, except head.

6. get a wet towel, and rub it on your cat face slowly. make sure no water go into the ears.

7. lastly rinse your cat.

8. now dry your cat, with towel then hair dryer. if you have problem handling it, put your cat in small cage, and turn ON the hair dryer. so he cannot run away.

Done

things you need, cat's nail cutter, ear mites solution, comb, towel, shampoo.

You can get ear mites solution from, comb, nail cutter and shampoo from the petshop or vet.
