Hi, will the salary for a fresh grad for the position of Network Engineer (or other similar network related positions) be higher if the candidate has a CCNA? If so, how much higher? A few hundred bucks extra? How much?
I need the information to negotiate my salary. I will be getting my CCNA before I start my new job next month. Can I ask the company to add RM300 to my basic if I get my CCNA before I start the job? Will they accept it?

Even if they've already mentioned during the interview that this certain sum will be the salary?

I never agreed on the salary. During the interview, the interviewer told me about the salary. I just sat there and didn't say anything. I didn't agree or disagree with the proposed salary.
Anyway, I gotta go collect/sign the offer letter at 11am today. Hopefully, they will consider increasing the salary. Wish me luck.

Alright, I went to the company to sign the offer letter earlier today. The HR lady said the salary can't be changed now as it is the standard salary they offer to all fresh grads that join their company. She said that the salary can be revised later on after my performance evaluation. Her explanation was good and I really wanna work here so I've accepted the offer.
Thanks for all your input here guys. It was very helpful.

QUOTE(howeijie @ Oct 20 2008, 10:18 PM) Currently active holder of CCIE in Malaysia only have 70++ peoples so far. How much or rather how many years of experience does one have to gain before attempting the CCIE exam? Does anyone here know of any CCIE (in Malaysia) who is under the age of 30? Added on October 20, 2008, 10:35 pmUpdate: KL will have a Mobile CCIE Lab in Jan 2009. Read the news article here: https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.com/docs/DOC-3224 or just google for CCIE Mobile Labs. This post has been edited by NicholasG5: Oct 20 2008, 10:35 PM
